How to open the Funko Pop comic cover acrylic case
I have found that the Dr Strange and Captain Marvel ones are the easiest to remove.
And I did break the tab but that’s not an issue.

of course I have is how do you take out the Funko pop out of the black stand ? Can I use a screwdriver to kind of pop it throughout because there's no screw underneath ?
What if h damage the screw and u can’t unscrew it

Would a heat gun or hair dryer help loosen the glue?

Thanks so much! My only problem is getting the pop off the base, the pop is standing on another thing which is fully connected.
Yeah some pop off easily while others are pretty stuck. Putting the base in hot water may help losen it.
I feel like it ruins it just my opinion
Well most people do them for customs. I began this when Funko hadn’t put out a lot of them.

i bought the wrestlemania III posters with Andre the giant and Hulk Hogan and they both have the same poster so it would be much cooler to stick them both in one case together to match the poster image of them side by side. Also, if the pop itself is just super glued on and the superglue is really tight, the easiest trick is stick it in the freezer then take it out, wiggle it a bit, let it warm up, freeze it again and just repeat this until it pops off. super glue becomes more brittle each time you freeze and thaw it.
Thanks so much for sharing your expertise. I'd heard horror stories about getting these open, but you carefully showed & explained each step. As a result - my Funko Pop! Albums 08: Motorhead - Ace of Spades "Lemmy" is finally released from his cage. The only hassle was getting the feet off the base - accomplished with hot water and gentle prying with a screwdriver. Perfect result 🤟🙂

Thank you for the video, that helps a lot! I cannot BELIEVE that Funko didn't make them with the possibility of the buyer taking them out of the case in mind!

It's because you're not supposed to. Funko doesn't own the rights to marvel toys that's why they're pops are bobbleheads and you put them in the box because they're not toys they're novelties

It’s to make customs. Funkos comic covers are not rare. Most are sitting on clearance in targets.

this was great thank you. I took off the one of Elektra as Daredevil but since she’s a special one who’s floating and had another base stuck to the back of her head I think imma keep her with the base
*So now is there a way to remove them from the black stand? Cuz I have a couple in my collection & that stand is just getting in the way off how I want to display them.*
It’s tricky as some will pop right off but others can rip the plastic base. You could try a hair dryer or some sort of glue remover.

Thank you for this video! I had a Sonic 2 Acrylic where Sonic was misaligned with the post to make him flat on the ground (was supposed to connect to his foot but somehow the makers didn’t make sure he was on it). Been driving me nuts for years. Used your trick to open the bottom and align him back straight and glued the bottom back on - good as new!

Yeah, all the figures are glued onto the base. Some pop (hehe) right off but others you may have to try and adhesive remover

Thanks for the video. I just got the Wolverine comic cover pop. I actually don’t want to open the plastic box. I just wasn’t sure if the shrink wrap comes off till I watched your video. The only reason I want to take the wrap off is because it has air bubbles in it. Have you had that problem on any comic cover pops? Thanks
I’ll be honest I’ve only ever bought them for the customs so I take the wrap right off.
So weird how the Pops inside aren't accessible. Some of us like to look and feel them up close, not just display.
Does anyone know if they sell the acrylic box on it's own? I bought a Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora pop recently and it fell as I was trying to put it on the shelf and it got a crack on the side. I don't really care about the resale value or anything so I'm fine opening it and replacing the acrylic. I just want to fix the eyesore that is the crack

Very cool Hasbro WWF Figure book!!. I would LOVE to buy a copy for The Collection but $50 bucks is a bit too expensive for me for a book and to spend online for me. Are these available at any retailers in THE US??. Id rather buy in Store I dont like apensing that much online I have had nothing but issues with Usps.
I have them on eBay now for $39 shipped in the US. Thanks! I understand your concern about cost but unfortunately printing books is very expensive, especially in smaller numbers. Also all the figures (apart from a few rare ones) in the book are mine. This was a side project me as I’m a nurse and paramedic.

I honestly haven’t tried those. They may be easier as they are held together with screws.

Wow! I didn't know that these were not accessible. When I see these comic book cover sets in stores, I always assumed that you can open them up and take the figure out. Clearly you can open them up, but I think it would have been a better design if Funko didn't glue the cases shut and made the cases accessible. You risk damaging the case if one would want to take the figure out!

you mention heat but might a going over with a heat gun briefly & obviously not close or heated enough that it melts but maybe just warming it might help to warm the glue a bit & make it easier to pull off?
Oh I’m sure that could work. Always worth a try.

You can, but it can be tricky. Sometimes they pop off, other times you have to use a sharp knife to slice under it. Someone suggested adhesive remover but I haven't tried that.

How do I remove the box without ripping it
I found that opening up both ends helps, then just carefully try and push it out.
Thanks. Did it for my Venom. Then once you get the case off, you have to rip the figure from the bottom piece which was easy it was just glued… thanks again
Your not supposed to open it the point is to display with with the plastic and the cover that’s why it’s called funko covers

Could the box be closed back?
Yes it can. The top will come off easily as there is no adhesive. You could super glue it if you wanted to seal it again.
My son just found the moon knight 08 comic cover on sale cause that pop was loose so let's see if this works 👍

You can also apply goo gone with a cotton swab, to loosen the adhesive inside.

Have you done scarlet witch? I’m thinking about ordering another to just pop out the pop.
I have but she was hard to pop off the base. The two I did both ended up damaging the base. So far dr strange and Captain marvel have been the easiest.
Actually there’s an alternate way to open it by dropping the thing which will result in the base popping off. After words just unscrew the screw. How do I know this? My little brother might have had an accident…
