I got totally lost on why you couldn't use the tab for video edit.. I use a Sony Alpha as well.. and I don't understand why you can't transfer the video to the tab same way you do with phone via sony creator app... then you edit video on tabs and bam done ready to upload... or is it your recording straight from your Sony cameras direct to phone/computer... thats where I got lost ..?

Great video. Excellent. This is what I needed to get. I have the studio like you and a SP9. I love both. The only problem I have is battery life anxiety. Not the battery life itself - I have an external battery. I just have that anxiety knowing that I need to save battery al the time. I just wish I knew I coiudl get 10 hours out of it and that would be great. I know I can with a battery but having to bring that with me is still anxiety inducing and I have to make sure it is charged all the time. If an iPad can do it - Intel and Microsoft can do it of they want to. They just need to want to. Got to say though I really love the SP9. What a machine. I have other tablets but they are gathering dust. There is simply nothing I need to do that I can't do on the SP9. Watching Netflix - Check. Doing deep work.- Check Doodling - Check Sketching - Check Making a to do list- Check Everything is easy and available. You made an excellent comparison with a phone and it is very accurate. A big phone running windows with a 13 inch screen. BTW - I have it connected to my phone while out and it works flawlessly. Moving to the 13 inch screen has utterly changed the device for me. It is now the complete article - it just needs a better battery. Can't praise it enough. I have tried to replace it and I can't justify spending even a single penny on a different device 'cos the SP9 does that job very well and the cost of the other device would be wasted 'cos I would have the sp9 with me anyway. If aI really need another device I have a phone which does everything else. Just can't beat it. Thanks again for the time and effort you put into the video.

Jeeezus man! I'm 18 minutes into this video and NOTHING works for this guy! What kind of 'real user' review is this?😂 I have the S9 Ultra and use it all day, every day for real business! The fingerprint sensor works every time (I'm black like you), all the apps and online versions of programs work just fine (although sometimes a tad limited from the pc version), and the multitasking is second to none!

Is this the 16GB 1TB version ?

You can't log in to Gmil in Edge browser because you use desktop view for the page. You should change temporarily for Gmail log in page to mobile view. After log in, you can switch to desktop view again.

I'm about your complexion and my fingerprint scanner works just fine, even without adjusting the settings... and I have a glass screen protector on it. It probably didn't register well when you set it up the first time. Thanks for doing a user perspective review! This is a lot more meaningful for me. I just got mine a few days ago and love it so far!

If you want the tab pen to work on your phone, on the phone, open settings. go to "Advanced Features" and select "spen setting." Click on " more spen settings" and enable 'Allow multiple s pens'

I cant even get my S9U fingerprint reader to train on any of my fingerprints. It always craps out at 49%. When i did a search to see if I was doing something wrong i was surprised how many people had the same problem at 49%, yet for some people it trains and works fine. Face id works fine in good light but if i wear glasses or headphones it doesnt recognise me.

Hopefully they will have 5g for the ultra tablet soon in the states 😊

Think this is the same sensor for the fingerprint as the s23 ultra. It's not good

What a dumb test. You didn't even use the same video and the amount of live chatting is different per video. This is a horribly controlled test. The results are worthless.

Hi! Thanks for the vid and the review. I am considering buying a surface pro 9. I work as elementary school teacher, and I own a 2019 HP laptop with Ryzen 5 on it. As my profession involves running some games like Minecraft, Roblox... not really demanding games, I am not really sure if this 2 in 1 device can run this kind of games. I prepare different lessons for my students, so clearly this is one of the first things that I am considering... Would you recommend it? Could you make a review testing not demanding games? You shouldn't criticize others for wanting better. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting better. We as consumers need more advocates to help make products better. If we say nothing then we get the worst possible devices to use. Encourage others to complain for better, as it cost nothing yet can possibly get us better products.

Wrongly done mate 😔 The youtube videos should've been the same. One is more of a GIF with very little movements, and it's only a basic digital cartoon (less size). The other one has a lot of real life landscapes with high dynamic range scenes. The second one will definitely use more power and internet. Anything that moves in the screen matters when it comes to power consumption. Different movements and colors mean different comsumption. If done correctly, the ARM based will probably still win, but not with as much difference. Thanks for the review 🙏

Not surprised at Intel's score compared to ARM. Since generation 12, Intel has been using the big.LITTLE design like ARM, giving them a big boost in battery life. Now, if it were 11th gen Intel vs. SQ3, I'd say the battery life would have been around 66% vs. ~30% instead of 66% vs. 55%

Talks about price should never impact a review. They should be brought up. Something being considered expensive is extremely contextual to the individual based on a crapton of variables (employee discount, family discount, sales, buying second hand, level of wealth, etc etc)

one trick to make intel and amd last longer on battery is to limit the process power to 30%. only useful when watching videos or surfing the web also if you are student

Well done Lad, first comprensive review squaring off properly both Surface Pro 9 models. Get ready to get a chunk of views!! In my opinion, this device would be the absolute king smashing all sale records if the BATTERY could last 10-12 hours. And guess what, the $2.000 price of a 16 Gb /1Tb + Keyboard +Pen would be totally justified. Looking forward to see the next BATTERY Test!

Quick question tho, what about the BATTERY LIFE time? Can you throw us please some numbers? I think many people like me wanna really know so, since it was quite thight with the SP8. Many thanks

This is the best review of the surface 9 I've seen so far! Not just a spec sheet, but real world use! I have an iPad 2018 for drawing but really tired of waiting to see if/when Apple gives us pro apps. Been really thinking about surface pro 9 for drawing with photoshop. Just worried about performance! Glad to see you think it runs well! Super exciting. Thanks for sharing! Look forward to more photoshop tests and if/under what circumstances you feel any latency? Like document size or # of layers or brush size etc. That's the one thing I'll give apple credit for, my 2018 iPad just doesn't slow down. But then again, it can't run PS either 😭

6 to 7 is fine. I keep my iPad Pro plug in most of the time. Other then that I’ll get maybe 7 hours out it. p.s. good review.
