This is fantastic news! I got all the 2.0 mouthpieces and loved the quality and consistency. I had many of the older ones fabricated before Jody improved the quality control. I didn't play them, but kept them in my collection. Once I played the 2.0 models, I realized there was no reason to keep these and no market for them, so I simply discarded them. Jody saved the brand and Dr Rousseau's brilliant designs with his quality control and training in the old plant and had them shipped to his plant and personally tested every mouthpiece. And now...another giant leap forward. Let's not forget the 50th anniversary alto mouthpieces Jody designed in Dr Rousseau's honour, made of Jody's proprietary Chedevillle rubber, the ER50 model. Along with the Rousseau NC 4 and the Chedeville models, Jody makes the three greatest classical alto mouthpieces in the world. Not just my opinion.....

Could you please comment on the the tuning of this mouthpiece? Does it tune similar to how a Meyer type would despite the baffle? (Where baffle type mouthpieces may be sharp in the higher register)

I have a SJ7 and it pairs very nicely with my purple logo straight YSS-62, using a Rico Royal 3 reed. I get very good control over my sound! Thank you for sharing!

They are all gorgeous....in my opinion, the most beautiful classical mouthpieces of all time, along with Chedeville. So, Jody makes the top FOUR! ER50 Classic is the new star in my galaxy.

I'm mystified when the price of the most important contributor to one's tonal palette is questioned. Assuming a decent instrument , it is the mouthpiece and our imagination that determine our sound! For 9 out of 10 of my setups, Chedeville, Rousseau and JodyJazz provide that magic....and the Custom Dark Bari Sax mouthpiece will make it a clean sweep. Our tone is the soul of our musicianship.....what price do YOU put on your soul?

That sounds fantastic, but, Which Ligature do you use for the RC4? I bought one 6 months ago and I’ve bought 5 different ligatures and none of them fit. I even purchased an E. Rousseau ligature and it doesn’t fit.
