The reason on pricing is the over all price (ik this is going to sound stupid) she made lots of the candels and that can take hours at a time and then she is adding shipping costs onto it and she needs more money to make more in the future and the cost the stuff to make it she needs so over all she is making 25-35$ each candle (before you come after me saying how do you know that or that’s a lie I am a small business owner and I do this with every single product I have)(fyi you can buy Mel merchandise off of Temu for a lot cheaper)

When I found this out, I was also shocked myself! I think they were meant to be expensive though b/c she really wanted to make the portals film for us! I agree that it is very expensive but I also believe Melanie doesn’t make the prices on them, maybe ATLANTIC Industry does. But who knows, just my theories 🤷🏽‍♀️

Possibly unpopular opinion (and long rant): most callout posts don’t actually have substance, they just claim things with little evidence, at best shaky evidence. This website is run by ONE person as a side project, it shouldn’t be their responsibility to supervise what a bunch of kids are doing off-site, since half the shit people get upset about are super petty things. Even in the case where someone has drawn f3ral art, I still think that’s gross, but as long as it’s posted off site it’s a waste of time for the mod to sit through a callout over something that TECHNICALLY isn’t hurting any one or breaking rules on site. Like you wouldn’t contact IG and tell them “this person traced/scammed/drew weird art off-site, please ban them. Just believe me”, that’d be ridiculous. I don’t understand why the OC community has this weird par-asocial relationship with the mod where they think they give a shit about their personal drama. If people stop reporting all this nonsensical shit, then maybe the actual predators would be removed, but instead the one mod has to sift through hundreds of petty reports.

yeah i think the fact that there's only one mod (that being the admin) is most likely why there's so many people that break the rules still on site. the website has roughly 6k users for reference, and it's quite clear that there's just too many people on site for sudo (the admin) to be able to handle all of this on their own. sincerely hope that sudo finally cracks and trains/hires mods for the site since they've been pretty adamant about not hiring/training mods for a good bit
