Cooking pizza in a home oven with great results (and how to stop the dough sticking to the peel)
Most of us common mortals only have a regular home oven to cook our pizza in, however don't let that discourage you, you can still get great results.
Here's how I do it. I also show you how I deal with another common complaint, i.e. the pizza sticking to the peel and leaving you with a horrendous mess!

the simple pleasure of watching pizza cooking

Cooking pizza in my modified ooni. I really think the ooni is a fantastic value for money pizza oven! I just wish it came with the revolving stone.
How I modified my ooni koda to make a rotating stone

The OONI Koda is a fantastic pizza oven and I use it regularly. However I found it annoying to have to keep turning the pizza, and often ended up burning the pizza. This method makes it much easier to use the koda and makes it foolproof, though perhaps not idiot proof. If you like the video please give me a thumbs up and subscribe.
Flaky limestone walls - thanks to cement!
Переглядів 8903 роки тому
A common problem with limestone walls is flaking. Many walls become powdery and dusty. The cause of this can be traced to wrong products used when either building the wall, or more often than not, 'restoring' it. We 'did up' the wall 16 years ago and now need to take out the cement mortar that was used and replace with lime mortar. Another problem, though some may disagree, is the damp proof co...

I read an article which claimed that a wood burning fireplace reduces humidity in a house. I tested this myself and here are the non-scientific results! Why Maltese houses feel colder inside than outside!
Переглядів 4173 роки тому
Why some houses feel colder inside than outside! Humidity is often the reason! The ideal humidity inside is between 40 and 50 %. Above 60% condensation, and therefore mould, is far more likely. Ventilation is therefore very important! groups/maltadampandmouldideaexchange/ Discuss your issues and ow you solved them - help each other out!

Hi Claire, just a thermometer with a hygrometer inbuilt. I'm sure you can find locally, but if you look for a hygrometer on E-bay or Amazon you will find plenty. Just make sure it gives you the relative humidity!
