Thank you for sharing this video. He was such a great talent that left to soon. I often visit his grave when I can. Again thank you for sharing. (R.I.P. Jesse)

Great hearing Jesse Ed, he deserves all the airplay and exposure possible before the next generation forgets about the original greats that formated rock and roll, blues, rhythm, etc... And NOT compu-aided electonica that has not one ounce of emotion/feeling in it.

I remember hearing this when it came out in the early 70s. A college friend had the album. I tried for years to find it again. Well I ran into it it again, 50 yrs later! Rest in Peace, Brother! I hear he was on the Rolling Stone's Rock and Roll Circus. Incredible one night show on the BBC. Clapton, John &Yoko, Mariann Faithful, Taj Mahall, The Who, Jethro Tull and of course The Stones

Love his range: from rockabilly to funk. This one would make Sly drool.

I was going to leave a nice comment as Jesse was one of my favorite player but John you beat to the punch .. A true MASTER... We miss him dearly. Even with all the greats on this LP even Clapton it was Jesse that shined the brightest.

The man who played the famous solo on "Stand by me" record with John Lennon!!! What a part of song! Unbeatable! Jesse!

He also played the solo on "Dr. My Eyes" Jackson Browne. Bobby Whitlock & Coco Carmel have been posting videos talking about the old days. How I found him. Awesome! Peace & Love, M ;)

I have the original multitrack 8 track tape from where this great song came from, I beleive it and many others were dumped in a skip outside Olympic studios when they were taken over by Virgin in the 80's and decided to have a clearout. Sad to think of all that great recorded work gone ... '' Put it in the skip lads '' But Claptons on it'' ''Just put it in the skip'' Now if I could only find a 8 track recorder !!

Personally the song is good but ends up as a mushy mess at the end. DJ is talking about either 1" (or other formats) masters or other mixdowns of studio work. You would end up with a ton of the stuff. Not 8- track cartridge players by like Lear etc. I have probably four or five of those. Biggest problems are degeneration of the tape oxides and electromag bleed. Plus keeping the idler wheels fresh and bands going is often a problem. When you have a great old Scully or Studer 4 track and can't get the idler wheel to work and sticks with an old tape=problem. Well there are all sorts of resources on the web.
