Sailing Across Friesland In The Netherlands.
This summer we sailed across Friesland in The Netherlands visiting Makkum, Harlingen, Terschelling and Hindeloopen, Stavoren and Urk on our way back.
There are a lot of gems in this area worth discovering and exploring.

Boat transfer from Zeeland to IJsselmeer in north of Holland. From Noordschans through Rotterdam channel to the North Sea, up north directly to Ijmuiden and then via Amsterdam channel and Amsterdam to Markermeer closing this trip in Lelystad on the IJsselmeer. #noordzeekanal #amsterdam #markermeer #ijsselmeer #bavaria33

Seasickness Kicks In. Turning Off The Course.

We headed north from the Roompot towards Amsterdam but due to seasickness turned off towards Rotterdam. Rough waves and pretty strong wind did not let us through further. Anyway, it was a very good decision that changed chain of events of our lovely adventure. Let's Wind ! @SzymonidasSailing

Niet zo handig met 1 volwassenen aan boord en 2 kinderen op getijde water en in de sluis zonder zwemvest en alles met je teen slippers aan . Goed zeemans schap is het allemaal niet wat ik zie.
you where talking about ijselmeer and markermeer and not getting sea sick. I have to disagree with you on that. small waves are building up quickly. My wife gets sea sick on the ijselmeer and not on open sea. its personal but be aware;)

@@SzymonidasSailing and of course welkom in the harbor. our boat is for sell there;) Its a nice place to discover the Netherlands. With kids is Makkum also a very nice place. Got a nice marina and has a great shallow sand beach.

It is Rolly Tasker genaker, I dont know what type, I believe it is kind a standard...cheers

@@SzymonidasSailing yeah. Was there without boat. Zaandam is also top. For sailing u have to travel a little but the marina is in the heart of the city and including 8 min walk to train station u can be at Amsterdam central in 20 min.
That was a stunning sun set to end day 2 with.
