@@schwererpanzerspahwagen7.592 The malevolence has to turn sideways and charge up to fire that ion canon. The eclipse would already be pointing it's main gun, and doesn't take long to fire it's canon multiple times, and it only needs one shot. Not to mention, the Eclipse has multiple ion canons itself, the malevolence not only wouldn't have time to manuver, it'd likely be stalled with all those ion shots. Further, this is also under the assumption that the malevolence ion canon COULD one shot the Eclipse's shields, which are known to be strong enough for ramming other ships to be a viable tactic. In short, it would probably take more than one shot to down the Eclipse, while the eclipse really only needs one.

@@FBI-1987 still though it pretty much just matters where they are if the malevolent was in its spot the eclipse would be screwed so pretty much its just luck you can say for each ship

The malevolence has to travel forwarding order to move, but can only fire it's canon sideways. against an sd or even the Executor, this isn't a problem because they like to get right besides their targets, but the Eclipse prefers facing it's targets head on, right where it's main canon is most effective. So really, the malevolence needs to get really lucky, not the Eclipse. Further, like I said before, the eclipse's shields are so strong it's entirely possible the malevolence would need multiple shots to take out it's shields and disable it, while the Eclipse not only has it's canon, but also it's heavy turbolasers which do massive damage to even other dreadnoughts, its own set of ion canons for disabling other ships, and even it's set of standard canons are strong enough to one shot most standard shops of it's time. It's just in a different league than the malevolence.

@@schwererpanzerspahwagen7.592 This isn't to say the malevolence is a bad ship, it's a really quite a clever set up, but, like most of the seperatist forces, it has what seems to be intentional design flaws, likely cause Palatine was behind everything. He gave it said flaws so he could easily beat it if he had to, but he wanted his own ship, the Eclipse, to be a symbol of his rule, a designed that thing to basically be unstoppable. It just isn't going to fall to conventional warfare.

Yeah. The executor is also a wayy... longer ship. But if yu scale it for how tall are those 2 ships. Malevolence wins there. And if yu take 3 Malevolence it about the same size. Also the Malevolence is my favorite ship of star wars :D If yu conpare the Malevolence to eny normal size ship. yeah there are none that outclass the size of it. And if yu conpare it to ather star wars ships. ( There are very few ships bigger then molevelance in cannon ) And if yu count legends ... Yeah then there are some ships that cen outclass the malevolence in size. Disney cannon = Around 10 ships or very slightly more ( i do not know the exact number ) All cannon from all sorces ( including fan made books ) = 40 or 50 ships that cen outclass malevolence in size ( I do not know the number ) So yeah. I say sorry becose i cent tell yu the number of ships that outclass the Malevolence size. But it a top 100 beggest ships in star wars. So yeah the malevolence is kinda a HUGE ship.
