ianimate Workshop 2, Assignment 2 - Polish
Working through polishing the shot. Started animating the hair. I still have to go through and check my arcs and clean up the graph editor.

Cat run cycle no.2

I thought i'd give this another go the other day as I never really liked the first run cycle I did years ago. This isnt all I animate tho! I'm planning on uploading more of my animations soon :) This rig was one I made from scratch ages ago and was my first attempt at making a quadraped model and rig. Everything is done in Maya.
Squirrels in slow motion

Filmed in 210 fps with a Casio EX-FH20 in Greenwich Park. I've cut together runs, jumps, and tree climbing. It was useful for my own animation studies so i thought i'd upload it. I may have to learn to keep the camera steady though!

Animation is great but I'd recommend adding more wave in the tail!

watching this i'm wondering why they have to jump everywhere. that would probably feel like running everywhere to us, why don't they just walk normally
if you look at their body its pure muscle around those small bones. part why they are so agile. I seen a squirrel dodge a snake bite by leaping from a stand still. their very powerful for their size

what program do you use??? please tell me this run cycle is awsome!
when a cat is running it's like a wave from the tip of the nose to the last bone of the tail and both the scapula goes very high for every impact of the frontal feet (and they're slightly out of sync ),the rear legs goes extended to the front and finally the hears move too. That said I've never gave a try to a cat's run cycle and I admire your bravery. My cats disapprove.
