If you right click on the piston you can set it to only place when at original position. That should stop the drill from stopping

Some suggestions, You could make copper casings i feel they will look cool for the body of the next ship and also there are some iron block thingy added by create also would look good , just use jei to see the blocks added by create I'd recommend building a bigger ship and for power you could have some windmills around that could serve double purpose, they'd look good like propellers and they'd generate some nice power , you could then have the drill be powered by that , and I feel like the drills being stationary instead of extend and retract would be better, couldn't think of a way to make it work with the extend thing bcs create's logic is component that are connected to a moving contraption work and when the contraption stops they stop , you could just have a supper long shaft

I think if you set it so the mechanical piston doesnt place at the end it should keep spinning

i know a way that could work but i dont know if its what you mean (this is about the drill) you could put a clutch and the barrel next to the clutch and add 8 more drills around the 1st one and maybe add some more chest/barrels love your vids :D
