Great singer but slow it down a bit.
I don't like the vibrato. But good.
Que tu Espíritu me guíe Sin fronteras it’s not uncommon to read comments like that which you wrote. Full throated singing is becoming a thing of the past. The main problem with almost all hooty, “vibratoless”, straight-toned sopranos, which I must assume you prefer but which I loathe, is they inevitably constrict in the higher register. Breathiness and hootiness is a sign that the voice’s register balance is being blown apart by excessive air flow, and as a result only the falsetto register responds. Ringing, resonant higher notes are just not possible. A singer who sings in The Grand Tradition allows/encourages the two registers to coordinate, as exemplified by singers like Leontyne Price, Jessye Norman, Renata Tebaldi, Kirsten Flagstad, Birgit Nilsson, Kiri Te Kanawa, Renée Fleming and scores of others including many less powerful sopranos like Kathleen Battle, Ely Ameling, Roberta Peters, and in our time Erin Morley. Unless a voice is coordinated like those sopranos (and the woman in this video), there is little emotional impact since falsetto dominant singing is basically using only a fragment of the voice. You can hear how this singer truly inspired her listeners. When I say it was the “vibrato” you’re hearing that actually packed the wallop, it’s surely not the only reason, but it’s closer to the mark than any other reason. I’m sure glad you said “but good”. This piece has a two octave range, sits very high, and is very difficult to sing. I have accompanied many singers in this piece over the past 20 years, and I would give this performance an “excellent”.

@AlexaterVideos I'd recommend almost any hymn....most are melodically easy and if they're worth their salt will have a decent (not simple) text. As an added bonus, they are easy to jazz up if you are looking to perform them. Think Vaughan Williams. In fact, Vaughan Williams wrote several arrangements of "simple" songs that might be helpful to you.
I love how the tone was light all throughout. Every other recording I've heard has been heavy and..."woofy", if that makes sense. Well done!
