Religions work as a framework for survival in very particular and specific sets of circumstances, Amazonian tirbes fast during the reproductive season of the native fish. Similarly, abrahamic tribes saw the value of big, stable families and herda as the dessert and nature were dangerous and they depended on storms to sustain crops, the herd and more children meant, more of then could survive unto aldulthood.
