OMG!! I get the impression Sierra is familiar with that song but doesn't know it. She watched Tommy's fingers and that guided her mandolin fingering. Furthermore, she learned everything quick enough that she could embellish her picking like she had played that song all her life. An amazing talent.

Dear God, this recording is absolutely fantastic! I attend Tommy’s guitar camps each year and I’ve had the privilege of being with him one on one. I guess Tommy and his music have filled of huge portion of my retirement days. And now to hear him playing with Jerry Douglas is absolutely fantastic.

I’ve been to a couple of Tommy’s guitar camps and have been up close and personal. I also play this song, the Duke, but will never get it the way he plays it. And in this video, he is playing it beautifully! He also looks a bit tan! 😊
