Hi everyone, This channel is all about my new Suzuki Jimny JB74. I bought it brand new and made some major upgrades to it. First videos are from the upgrades and in the future i will take you all along on a road trip to the Icelandic high country to test out the Big Jimny. The main goal is to show that phrase "the bigger the better" does not exist when it comes to off road capability and that it can be a good daily driver. Finally did this upgrade and boy o boy am i super happy with the outcome. It's not a cheap upgrade but well worth the money spent for such a super product. Winter is leaving here in Iceland and i just wanted to share with you our last trip to the Highlands. We drove to the Landmannalaugar region which is a very popular tourist destination. Well, it's finally done. Waited 6 months for the Mongo Snorkel, but i i was happy and sad at the same moment when i opened the package . I just love the design of this Snorkel, but i was not satisfied with the quality. The paintwork was poor and some of the accessories was missing. This video was shoot last year (June 2020). Took a day trip in my Jimny to one of the most spectacular places in Iceland. Unicorn is one off a kind mountain at the entrance to the Icelandic highland. Long story short, yes stand alone ECU. Huge task with very many complicated issues😅

Not that expensive considering the extensive work in Iceland and the whole R&D. Do you feel you'd benefit fitting a portal axle system, getting extra ground clearance especially for the diffs ?

Hi, no not in the axle diffs, lower ratios is not possible because of the tire size. Was trying to get new ratios in the Transfer case but they are still not available for automatic transmission. Installed a Supercharger which helped a lot for the torque👍

Wow, that look wicked. Did you have to strengthen anything in the drivetrain? Did you add diff lockers?
You are obviously a Drive-a-Jimny-in-Iceland expert. I rented a Jimny in September 2023 for 2 weeks, but did not really drive on the F-roads. August this year I return and plan on more F-road driving and I already rented a Jimny again. Say rainfall and other weather conditions are normal, would you say that I should be fine driving to Landmannalaugar (Northern route F26/F208, actually I would prefer to go by F225 and catch F208 just before Landmannalaugar) and Kerlingarfjôll in the Jimny? Any input if I continue on F208 towards Huldufoss or should I not press my luck? I`m confident about driving to Thakgil. Thorsmörk I have decided to take the bus to and back, as I am not too confident about the final 2-3 river crossings before Thotsmörk. Thanks, Per
It all seems fine to me. F208, 225 are usually ok in August. But Þórsmörk can be tricky if it rains much.

I’ve had these tires on my last two trucks. They are wonderful in the snow. Can be a little slippery in the rain but they’re fantastic in the snow and dry pavement.
I'm considering their new atx, but I care about rain, for safety on cold rainy day in Canada and less worried about snow. I think icy and wet slippery performance is priority category.. were that on the bad side ? or still good in wet ? Not sure if i want to go winters for winter and then at's for 3 seasons or even a quality touring tire for 3 seasons if not really off roading. maybe 1-2 a year ?
