West High unit CA-20161 cadets at WRHS JROTC Raider Challenge, 9/21/2024
On September 21, 2024, the West High Air Force JROTC cadets of unit CA-20161 attended the Weston Ranch High School JROTC Raider Challenge, Sports, and Indoor Ariel Drone Competition. Cadet Maj Azizi created this video to recapture all the events.

Cadets of Air Force JROTC, unit CA-20161, presented Colors at the 2024 State of the City in Tracy, CA. The National Anthem is performed by Bailey Poole. The presentation is narrated Cadet Maj Azizi. The Color Guard is commanded by Cadet Col Babra, team members consist of Cadet Capt Latifi, Cadet 1st Lt France, Cadet 1st Lt Garcia, and Cadet SSgt Lardizabal.

Air Force JROTC unit CA-20161 held its annual Military Ball on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The National Anthem was performed by Cadet Ipong. The Color Guard was led by Cadet Maharaj. The Ball was attended by 180 cadets and special guests. Guest speaker for the event was the Superintendent Tracy Unified School District.
Major's Grog Bowl Rhymes, Military Ball 2024

During the Military Ball, a cadet called the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor to the grog bowl for clapping his hands, which apparently violated the rules. Unfortunate for the cadet, the SASI came prepared with a bag full of "Major Rhymes" to rebut any violation charges. Everyone in the building was shocked when Major Roundtree stepped to the mic and started flipping some crazy poetic verses...
Cadet Change of Command, Awards Ceremony 2024

The annual Promotion and Awards Ceremony conducted by unit CA-20161, on 1/12/2024, included a Change of Command Ceremony. Each semester a new cadet commander is selected to lead the cadet corps. The outgoing and incoming commanders give their departing and introductory comments the cadets and parents/family members.

I was in AFJROTC in Florida in the mid 80s this is a great representation of AFJROTC however this should’ve been done on memorial day instead of Veterans Day. Veterans Day is to honor the veterans that have served and are still alive memorial day would’ve been more appropriate for this but you guys did a great job. I am a veteran of the Air Force. When is parade rest with the arms and front they’ve always been in the back before that could’ve changed but it’s still a great job thanks for that representation.
Why is it that this colorguard marches at like 80 bpm, but speed up to 105 bpm when marking time ?

Y’all are pretty sharp but you need to get more familiar with the army regulations, some of those movements might look nice but they’re out of regulation
These guys are Air Force not army junior RTC so there is a difference
@@marciem they said they were using army training circular 3-21.5, which is what most cross-branch comps go off for colorguard from what I’ve seen

Why did the Color Guard follow Army Regulations?

Definitely not army regs, the rifles move on the predatory commands and they aren’t swinging their arms
the AFMAN 36-2203 doesn't list a lot of regulations for color guards and really only has stand still movements. most units just follow the TC 3-21.5 because it has more explanations on color guard drill, and plus I think TC 3-21.5 color guard drill just looks better for MANY teams. i like how the commander pointed out that her team was drilling with army regulation, but it was all air force movements and nothing from TC 3-21.5 I saw was implemented so she basically failed her entire team. edit: can anyone explain why on eye's right, the guards went to present?
