What was not mentioned, is that when this renovation was completed - approx. 8 years' ago, the house was put up for sale. At $10 million. How come it more than doubled in price in the interim, when the work was already done before it was listed at $10 m? A tad expensive to realign, electric wiring usually is old and unsafe, brickworks need to be repointed occasionally to eliminate or reduce leaks etc Maintenance on a historic home is not cheap, which is why many of them are deeded over to state or federal gov’ts for upkeep
