I found someones card on the ground at CVS. I called the bank phone number on the back and they cancelled it and told me to cut it up. I cut it up and finally the police got back to me. I called the non emergency number and left a message before I called the bank. They told me that since I cut it up that I am in trouble and I should never do that because destroying someone elses card is a crime. The bank verified that they told me to cut it up and I was off the hook, but I am never calling the police again if I find someone elses debit or credit card. The police are only interested in putting someone in jail.

so why it's not true? More evidence supporting this

Just found a wallet and gave it to a7-Eleven cashier here in California where I found it in his lot. He says he recognizes the guys at Daily beer customer. I'm hoping he gives it to the guy who lost it. I'm always finding lost items from other people. Nice! These happened to be the perfect plants for me. A few years ago, my mother gave me three tiny plants from babies she just got planted in soil after a few weeks in water. Given my past experiences with plants, I wasn't expecting them to survive very long, but they actually survived and became quickly very huge! And produced a lot of babies that gave me other beautiful plants. Now I have to give some to friends since they grow so fast and cannot throw the babies in the garbage or let my flat being a jungle. Those a plants are obviously badass, mines went from months without water during hot summer weather, crashed on the floor during wild parties and they're still alive and thriving! Chlorophytum rules!
