    I dont understand no3. You said the angle of incidence is 37 degrees(the critical angle) but to answer the question on why red light doesn't change direction, you said "angle of incidence is 0"

      In this question you can find the half-life by the time taken for count rate to reduce by half. You begin by subtracting the background count rate (which is due to background sources and not from the radioactive sample itself) from any value from graph, find its half then add back the background count. Lastly find the time for the change from your first chosen count rate value and your final count rate.

      In Q2 e, most importantly oxide of E conducts electricity only in molten form. This indicates the ionic nature of compound. The exothermic detail from water reaction could possibly be due to hydrolysis of metal chloride. Recall that enthalpy change of hydration is negative. The reaction in Q3 c (iv) is hydrolysis and memorizing the key products will be helpful.

      When the gradient increases four times, the new graph will have a sketch such that each x coordinate will now have a y coordinate that is 4 times that of the initial graph. As a result of this where previously 16x units correspond to F1, now (16/4=4 ) 4 x units correspond to the same y coordinate.

      Starting from d which is point S and then to be able to draw as accurate slope, I have broken the distance S to T down to four parts, d at S, 5/4d, 3/2d, 7/4d and then 2d at T. All these diameters are along the wire length. The division is just to make it easier for you to plot on the graph.
