For rendering, a lot of us either use V-ray, Enscape, or Lumion. Walkthroughs are common, though I notice this service is usually offered by companies - rarely by solo designers!

maybe take architecture for college and int design short courses on the side if you want the opportunities while being passionate about int design. im not experienced but it might be better for you to diversify your skills in the long run

@@habitatcurator it's going well! Just finished a giant gallery wall in the space which brought it all to life. I've been trying to find the gusto to edit a video on that but part of me is being pulled to use any free time I have to work on the next home project 😅

hello hello! thanks for watching, I appreciate your feedback! Really interesting insights <3 I agree with your statement that this is ideal for those who can afford to eat out (or order online, since this is within the vicinity of a mall!) My client's target market would be the busy young adults, aiming for those who prefer the convenience of having everything in the unit -- more likely those who aren't heavy cookers as well. Given those circumstances, the unit is located in a condominium -- units here are usually meant for personal, private use (they only allow long-term rent in this specific condo developer) which is why there aren't any shared utility spaces, unfortunately. Having those features would be ideal and great, to be honest!

@@habitatcurator many thnx for your speedy and generous reply - in spite of renting for 45 yrs have never had anything to do with condos - makes sense that spaces in these bldgs aren’t shared - am so glad that every apt I’ve rented also provided large appliances (fridge / stove oven) as well as shared washer dryers - was surprised that this wasn’t the case in many other countries - but it’s groceries / meal prep / eat out / bring in differences that have been most enlightening - it’s been interesting to learn how folks prepare meals (or don’t) in such small kitchens as this - you really did a great job designing this apt - my studio is square rather than rectangular - 350sq’ - so this apt would fit in it with 100sq’ feet to spare - have a large north facing balcony over looking stunning trees and shared green spaces (we’re called The Forest City) and the neighbouring university - your own kitchen (grocery store etc five mins walk) and a great view that changes with the seasons - not much more you could ask for - did I mention I have easy access to 5 city bus routes - thnx again I look forward to catching up on your YT videos always something to learn from others living “small and renting” 🇨🇦🙏

I would think that some countries have many fresh food markets, so people tend to shop often. Maybe that makes the difference?

No, I designed the space. Anything construction related was done by Excellon Construction. 😊

@@TheAnonymousNow tenants can always opt to purchase anti-vibration pads for the washer dryer, since we still have some clearance to have that installed 😊 keep in mind that this unit is for 2, which means it’s highly likely that they’ll only be using the washer dryer at least once a week.

can you not run the washer / dryer while you are out of the apt - assuming it can run from washing thru to drying before it stops - surely it would be done while you are at work 🤷‍♀️

​@@ej3016In my country the fire brigade recommends only running washer/dryers while you are at home. It can be loud. If u don't have room for rubber feet, even a dense mat can keep the noise down. In my apartment, I have a bookshelf between the washer/dryer and the living area.
