No thanks, I’m good youtube commenter. Though, if you’re talking about Fatalis there’s not much I can do to help anyways; I’ve been very slowly chipping away at a solo run of him myself. He demands heavy optimization and his multiplayer scaling is uniquely strict so it’s harder to get carried as well. Unfortunately, the only way to beat him is to put in the time to get good at him.

⁠@@spike5499oh lol, yeah he’s pretty tough your first time around. If the divebomb is catching you, which was the thing that usually carted players the most, try to superman dive it. A lot of players I’ve seen, even in master rank, don’t seem to know that if you dodge while sprinting away from the monster you go into a dive animation which you’re invincible during. Great for dodging big scary moves you aren’t confident you can roll through. Make sure you’re sprinting away from the monster, doesn’t work if you’re sprinting towards it without a special skill.

Also, if you want others to help you feel free to SOS flare. I used to play almost exclusively multiplayer using SOS flares myself. The problem is you might get some players that are way above your rank in the game that trivializes the fight but you would’ve had that same problem if I played with you.

I wouldn't say the fight itself is harder in terms of mechanics, some harder aspects are largely counterbalanced by some easier aspects, but what makes it a lot harder is how long it goes on for. So much more room to make mistakes and it takes so long to get to the later harder sections to learn them. I was a little peeved when a video appeared in my recommended showing someone beating new SCal with post-moonlord weapons and the fight was still significantly shorter than my winning run.

@@emerald3616 yeah I can see that part but that whole thing is all just because of 1.5 power curve change you can watch someone do scal with a minishark though if you want, idk if it's public but i have a friend who has (they also did exos, DoG, and Provi)

@MLCrafter Nearly 4 months later, I just first tried new SCal even with sloppy play. I'm very confident now in saying that this version of SCal was much harder than she is now.
