I finally found a job 🎉 it's only custodial, and it's only part time (4 5-hour days)... but it's perfect for me... I don't have to interact with a lot of people, and the days are short enough I can stiĺ get the household things "normal" people are able to get done when they work a 8 hour shift... I hope you find something that works with and for you

Thank you so much for not only the information but also for sharing your story; as a disabled person I know it’s not always easy (and at times can be very frustrating exasperating disconcerting and hurtful) especially when your disability is not something easily visible. I’ve had everything from ignorant and prejudiced professional staff, nurses & doctors, and the common people you encounter when out of house who accuse me of lying exaggerating being dramatic or overly sensitive and of being an attention seeker. Unfortunately most of these are from nurses and ER staff who are uneducated in my disabilities and Illnesses and have no sympathy or empathy, which I always find the most hurtful because they are supposed to be there to help in all ways and help make me feel better, not have to explain and defend myself over and over again until they can either understand it or speak to one of my specialists themselves. So thanks for the info, didn’t know about this program before.

The Teacher was crazy and interesting. Spoilers: I did put it together that Jay was Hudson before the end and I didn't know how to feel about it. Like she's sleeping with a student, unknowingly, but still. With the way she was talking about the differences between her and Nate, and her parents being against the marriage, I was wondering when they met, so her being 15 wasn't too surprising. I was thinking he'd get caught with the poem as people like him typically use the same one for all their victims. So when Mackenzie saw the poem and reacted the way she did, I was like "yep". The only thing I wasn't really able to figure out is what she did to get the original teacher in trouble. Overall it was an interesting read.

I've been to interviews were they've taken one look at me and dismissed me before even giving me a chance and talking to me. The interviews felt robotic and like they couldn't wait to end it. I've tried applying to other jobs where just turning in my application would garner me dirty looks. It's so disheartening trying to find a job as a disabled person. It has made me want to start my own company so I can hire fellow disabled people, but you have to have a function as a company and I have no ideas or funds. 😂 I know The Mighty has some resources to help you can check into. I wish you the best of luck finding a good company to work for in a position you want!
