Damn, I just realized they need a new TV show with a character that carries a Python and has the same intro music as this video. 😂
My fav edc
Big YES
What if the safety doesn't seem to work
Eso pasa porque algun gracioso desmonto y monto el cerrojo con el seguro pegado a la izquierda
collecting military surplus many years I have two of these rifles o in original state,.another I reworked for my father. I greatly enjoy them and reload them.papa 😊
What holster do you use
I generally make my own Kydex or Leather holsters. I use leather on this one. Sorry, that's about the best answer I can give on it.
Ammunition has improved and yes it cost. It is sized 124g to 147g and flat top to HP. I cheated a little by using my new Sig Sauer P320 .357 Sig. The ammunitions are very accurate and super sonic and the Glock 32 and the Glock 31 are the best and easy to manage.
If people want a Gen 5 in .357 SIG I’d encourage you to email Glock. I emailed them and asked for at least a limited production. If they get a lot of customers asking for them maybe they will do it !
Sir, I appreciate your video of the old Colt Official Police. Your postwar production OP has a nice looking Matt-black finish, Colt Target Stocks, and a six-inch barrel. I am well acquainted with the Colt OP, As a cop from 1971 unto 2020, my OP went to work with me as my on-duty arm. It was given to me as a Christmas present Christmas Eve 1971 by kind and loving parents. I had just joined the local PD and was issued a S&W Model 10 for duty use. When I received my Colt, I had to get qualified to carry it on duty. After getting over that hurdle my Colt would ride with me in the squad car for many years. I loved the trigger-action of my OP, along with the comfortable "feel" of the OP to my gun-hand. I had purchased a beautiful set of walnut Herrett "Shooting Star" Target Grips for my Colt. Rubber Grips had not been introduced in 1971 and the Herrett's really accented the look of my Colt. A 1959 production OP, with a worn blue steel finish. This Colt was purchased one week before ChristmasEve 71 from a local gun store by my Dad. It was a PD trade-in and this same gun store had a small pile of these PD-trade-in Colt OP's. The sales clerk told my Dad these were trade-ins from a large PD up north. They had traded their aging Colts in on S&W Model 10's, with a heavy barrel feature. Over the passing years I researched my Colt, seeking the development, date of production start, production date of my OP (1959), and the general history of this and other Colt firearms. A Colt OP has a hand-honed and hand-fitted trigger action, made and installed by a Colt Master Gunsmith. These babies would be modern day custom jobs by todays standards. The assembly of the side plate to the Fram was/is a job of extreme precision. The OP required the attention of the Colt Master Gunsmith in the assembly process. The OP could be considered the "Dad" of the legendary Python. Same frame, same dedication to the production Aswan done on the OP. Anyway, sorry for the length, I carried this Colt for a long while. I was blessed and looked after by our Heavenly Father, as I was involved in only one shooting incident. No one died thanks to the Good Lord. My Colt has a two agency history of duty use. Special to me, I was grandfathered in when our PD went to the semi-automatic pistol for duty use. Thanks again sir!
Very nice
Nice review. I carried a Gen2 31 for 20 years. Didn't care for it at all initially. Was raised on 1911 and 45ACP. But it worked well and was hell with 125gr Lawman TMJ flat nose. Much nastier with Gold Dot or Sig's defensive load. Picked up a P229 Elite for a personal carry and developed a much greater appreciation for the round. I found Speer Gold Dot ammo in 357S a few months back for 40¢ a round and picked up a few cases of it. I figure that should last me most of the rest of years of being able to see well enough to use a handgun. Getting old sucks. It just beats the alternative
The rear sight ears can be tightened by a screw in the barrel channel of the fore stock. You will have to remove the forstock to fix it. Be careful when removing the stock. You can easily damage the draws.
I have a absolutely beautiful model 10 Remington with a 30" full choke barrel. Original finish on metal and wood is 95%. Paid $280 for it a while back. I really lucked out, don't think it has ever been used much. Definitely don't think it has been hunted with, it's in too good of shape.
Very nice! They're awesome and usually overlooked shotguns. Good deals can still be had if one looks hard enough. This one I have ended up working flawlessly at the range. I've been thinking of getting a nicer one like yours to cut down to a riot gun like mine, as a project for the channel, and then use it bedside at home for defense.
I wouldn't mind having one, but that ejector needs some work. If it's typical, might be a deal breaker.
SMLEs don't have ejectors, at least not in .303 Brit. I'm not sure if they do in 7.62, but i doubt it.
Thank you for this video, this was a tremendous help!
Glad it helped!
My exact EDC too. Gen 3with an OLight Mini and TruGlo night sights.
Yes
Very interesting and informative I appreciate you talking about your time and knowledge to teach
Nice! Excellent classic. Stands the test of time.
I carry a 32 & 33, depending on what the weather in AZ dictates what I wear. Best defensive round. BTW, the 357 Sig is not based on a necked down 40....the 40 brass is generally too weak for the high pressure of the 357. It is based on a shortened and necked down 10mm.
Alot of people are misguided on that and accept that easy answer. I'm happy to articulate it though. The .40cal is a shortened 10mm with a smaller primer, making the .40cal its own designated round. A .357sig is that same already shortened, already a smaller primer, already it's own designated .40cal round....necked down with a 9mm projectile on top. The metallurgical difference is a non-factor between 10mm and .40cal in the context of 357sig because it's one of the attributes that makes the .357sig its own round separate from it's .40cal parent round. 10mm is .357sig's grandparent round. If you shorten and neck down a 10mm round, I assure you that you will not have a .357sig in the end.
Everyone overlooks the biggest difference between 357 sig and 9mm: bullet drop. That round with light bullets goes SIGNIFICANTLY further than 9mm
I can't speak for everyone else and why they're missing it, but in the context of carry and stopping threats, further isn't a factor considering the distance of most defense engagements. 20yds+ you'll start to see a bullet drop difference and if you're shooting 20yds+ in a defense situation, you're going to have answer some extra questions to law enforcement for sure. ...Shoot wisely.
Great respect to the Colt Python. Since I am a S&W fan with a S&W-586, .357-mag. You know where my loyalties are. Like you I upgraded the straight butt grips to exotic woods, rosewood grips. In the combat style with finger grooves.
Just recently came across some hard times so every pistol in my small collection call my wife allow me to keep one
Best option for human issues!
Replaced my broken firing pin. Thank you
You're welcome, glad it worked out. :)
Is the procedure the same for my new Colt Anaconda? Thanks for the video I hope the answer is yes.
Should be, yes. The sights are mounted/housed the same way on both models.
@@therangerats Thank you sir.
Just bought one yesterday. We sold our other place and got a small farm. What we didn't know. Was this new place has bears. Lots of black bears. I'm talking a lot. Was at the cabin listening to music, drinking a cold one, minding my business like always. Out walks this bear, less than 20 feet away. He's eyeballing me, I'm eyeballing him. He's nose up trying to wind me. Starts grunting and just meanders away calm and slow as only bears do. He never made a sound coming out of the 4-foot-tall blackberry bushes. Like a ghost. I had a Walter p-22 in my man bag. That would have helped speed up the time it took to rip me to pieces. So, the next day I went to the candy store. The Glock 32 is a lot like the 9x25 Dillon. More so than most know. I have the conversion barrel for my Glock 20. The Glock 32 is light, easy to conceal, and enough ump to do it, besides any excuse to buy another gun, is always 100% cool. Peace.
Great Info👍
At one time it was almost unamerican to not have a SKS.
Very helpful video. Thanks!
Thanks for this. Very helpful.
You have a point glock is a classic 👌🏾
Thanks. This video was a huge help.
Glad it helped!
My EDC is a Sig P320 in .357 sig and I love it!
A great choice as well.
Liked and subscribed. Thank you! Just swapped the broken pin out of my M1916 thanks to you. You rock!!!!
Gtg!
🔥🦠
Do you guys keep the factory guide rod or change it out to aftermarket materials
The paracord is a great idea ill remember this when i get mines
fails to eject too often, not a shotgun I would trust in a life or death situation. Paid 400 for it, I'd say it's worth half that.
I like my CZ-52 it seems to be one of the better surplus handguns at an affordable price. Mine has been very reliable with few jambs running hundreds of rounds through it. I have and do carry mine from time to time. if you like power this has it. the 7.62 X 25 round is no joke. it's faster and penetrates better than the 9mm and a lot of other Auto round. Ammo prices went up after our government ban ammo from Russia. so, if you don't reload you need to factor that in if you plan to shoot a lot.
"Deep Time Type 1 Fuze" Where did you get that box?
Figuring my next purchase and this 32 with some underwood really sounds nice… can’t get over the 65 grain I think it is that gets 2100 FPS lol
My cocking piece isn’t just coming off like this.
¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
It sucks they put that rear sight and the crap stocks on them but other than that I love these new pythons.
Such a beautiful gun.
yea it is I purchased mine when I was about 25, it's brought me a lot of joy but 15 yrs later I think I shouldda bought a cz compact and a beretta tomcat. agh well live n learn!
They just put out a matte stainless list is around 1100 , just seen one in stock
Great timing for this upload, I just got a M1915 today, and was clueless how to clean the bolt, appreciate the video!
Glad it helped
Great presentation. The G32 is my EDC.
Like a gun 👍
