Thank you. On ideal world we do not find ourselves in the situation this video talks about on any phase of relationship, but unfortunately sometimes it happens. What comes to starting dating and new relationship, I have been preparing a dedicated video about that and it is coming soon. Quick tip in the meanwhile would be, to look further and be open to meet people also outside of our familiar social circles. Sometimes best things happen when we least expect it, if we are open to possibilities.😊❤️

Excellent analysis ... thank you! Yes, we are in 1984 ... but it's far worse than the novel because very few people recognize it. Also, Orwell would've been shocked to see the power of the internet and social media.

I agree. It would be helpful, if everyone would just take a step back and look where we are going. For some odd reason 'the party' has turned even this book to serve its purpose. Newspeak of all time!

Mom and 2 of my siblings were there in hospital when my dad died. No need for 'viewing' which my dad did not want. Cremated and family memorial at my sisters place. Perfect, dad would have loved it and so sorry he was not there.

You asked why would someone want to see a dead body of the one they loved - our experience was that it gave us closure. My son died in an accident at age 16. We actually ended up having two different viewings with over 100 attending each one. Many of his friends wanted to sit in the room with his body and talk to him to say goodbye. We are Christians, and most of his friends are Christian - we all knew it wasn't really him, it was just a shell. But the suddenness of his departure was hard for everyone. It was immensely helpful to be able to sit with his outward shell and say our goodbyes. Even his 2 year old sister said goodbye to him - I wasn't planning to let her go that day, but she kept asking for him. She didn't understand the finality of death, she didn't understand why her parents and siblings were so upset. Once she saw his body, she understood. I watched the realization dawn on her face. Was it hard? Yes! But I have no regrets - she is now a happy, well-adjusted 8 year old who is full of empathy and care for others. I haven't always felt the need to view the body of other loved ones, but in the case of my son, it was absolutely a positive thing for many of his friends, our church family, his brothers and sister and my husband and myself. It allowed closure, and a letting go.

Was appreciative to see my brother one last time when he died at 20 via suicide... But personally do not want to be embalmed and looked at... Understand why those whose loved ones have died young would want..

Thank you for your comment. It was very courageous of you to share your experience on your son's passing. There are no right or wrong answers on how to come to terms with the death of a child. I am so happy that you and your family feel you got closure. God bless you and your family!
