Is Red Dead to us again Nov 20, 2024
We hit Red Mountain for the 1st time in a long time and rediscover why we don't ride it more often: many fun sections, but you have to earn your way to them.

Love to do it again any time!
Awesome Thanks for taking me ⚡️🏁
I wanna ride with you guys! Great vid
Any time!
Uhh randomly stumbled on this video, nuts how people from the future are still mountain biking in whistler 2924 damn... 🤔
Haha - typos!! Gotta appreciate them.
Nice!
I use to ride similar terrain in Antioch Ca. blistering hot in summer, beautiful in Spring. Sweet
Could use a trim! Nice!
Always a good time!
I used to ride these like 15 years ago when it was all unmarked. These are actually just the warmup it used to go all the way down to west sechelt. There was great tock bluff views and very steep gnarl descents. At one point theres a sign on a tree “brake check” right before a long steep rockface with a steep extended chute as the runout. It was fuckin nasty. All my friends hated that ride cause it was so steep up and down and i never used to solo ride so I stopped doing it. And ive lost the map i had it drawn in on. Spent about 5 yrs off the bike but im back this season and im gonna have to find it again. Extremely demanding ride though
That looks like a fun area to ride. Didn't even know it existed.
It’s mostly a “family friendly” area, but they keep adding more trails and features that make it more of a draw for advanced riders as well. Worth checking out:)
@@gsallenbach Too bad I don't drive and am reliant on others to get to areas other than the north shore and the tri-cities.
That sucks for your buddy. Also prime wet coast riding.
I know, right? On both accounts🤪
Hahaha nice brah! The runout in that tallest slab has always been a bit rowdy. Just got back on the bike after a few years not riding and that one always gets my heart going haha. It was intimidating to come back to even just at age 29 haha. Good on you brother!
Yeah, it can be sketchy!
Sal, i don't think I've ever heard your brakes so much in the start of any video! R.E.F.R. looks intense!
yep, it's kind of intense in spots and can be a little intimidating, haha!
Sal this Train Grade doesn't look like a very "fun" trail on comparison to other runs you've done. is this actually fun, or just something new and unique? Derailed looks alittle more interesting.
Good observation. Just fun for the novelty, not something I’d go to on a regular basis
i chatted with you on the push up, that should be the last of the snow for the season!
Ah, cool! I. Didn’t realize that was you. Thanks for stopping to give me the tip on the trail conditions:)
@@gsallenbach i think we ended up going down around the same trails near the end where the dirt was better, no camer on me, just exploratory. some of those jumps down there looked crazy.
not too many people find/ride this one , just wish it was longer!
can’t wait to try it! was too snowy the other day and couldn’t see it lol.
Nice
Nice ride and video. Fun to get out there and explore for new trails and features.
Nice riding and great video! Where are these trails?
This is on Ledgview in Abbotsford. They have quite a network of trails there:)
Hell yeah boys
Oo
Looked like a fun ride.
This is a grand video, truly showcasing the primo riding in Chilliwack area. top shelf riding and high level skill required to maintain that speed. such a treat to watch.
Great string of trails
Yeah, it’s a fun route👍
Beauty video Sal. I personally would absolutely a full Sal video but done in itialian, and them French! I think that would be awesome.
Ça serait magnifique 😋
Nice crash!!
Thanks🤗
Merci
Hi
Bye Derek, all the best in your new adventures!
Sal, another stellar video here. It was fun to watch my epic jumps and solid flow. Excellent follow cam, and pro level editing. Can't wait for the next shred!
I hear ya, buddy!!
Jabba the Rut? Where does that trail start?
It’s not on Trailforks and I’m not allowed to say, sincerely sorry
hey mr sal
Hey, right back atcha
SAL, This is some sketchy trail design buddy! i'm sketched out just watching the video!
Yeah, it's not actually a hard trail (unless you take some of the shortcuts), but psychologically it's tricky
Epic friggin air in this video by all.I still can't get over the guy sitting on the friggin feature brother! Darwin Awards are next year!
Everyone was riding pro-level that day!!
Ivy’s nose FTW!
this seems like a great trail system, some jank, but not a ton of Gnar, and LONG! very good length from what it seems of solid DH. a HC riders' dream.
Sal, next time up there, you gotta give Devil's throat a try!
Yep, I was just thinking that as I researched that clip
I miss the trails in the Fraser Valley!!!
And they miss you!
I think the trail is called the hip replacement
Good to know, and almost what I needed after my crash! 😵
Looking pro as usual Mr G. You love that same little last drop on Femur as I do. Ruby's looks intimidating in video, what's your report on it. The new loamer looks fun too!
the new loamer is fun, but with the tight berms, corning skills are required to maintain one's speed
Sick edits bro, I love the videos!
Right on!!!
GoPro make me ride like a pro!
Haha!
Sal, you rock those features like a Pro. like a young man full of energy and vitality!
Golly, thanks captain:)
I hiked this the other day...some good stunts and steeps...slabs included!! Good on you for rippin that one..looks wet...I don't know if I'd ride this solo but I've seen alot of your videos in sechelt...my location...and rode blind and also knew some trails from your video...solid riding..let me know if you know of a good climb...and downhill to boot...I haven't biked killer squirrel yet...phareline??
If you’re looking for a fun climb and downhill, the Killer squirrel, Area 51 climb to descend Neimja Main, beyond easy, Rockstar and locomotive gives some good variety:)
@@gsallenbach I've linked up over easy and locomotive...haven't done niemja main completely or ninja squirrel...I k ow where the junction is and the end or beginning climb of KS.. bike in shop today...rode vfr and e line to Probac a few days ago...front brake starting moaning...4 month old shimano slx on this year's Rock mountain altitude 50...upgraded to the magura pro 7...maybe I'll have the balls to do sniper!! Cheap thrill is wild to...also top of elphinstone a trail called elephantitus...apparently for the big boys..
Also rode rockstar..alot of these trails hopefully will get some maintenance...half way down e line is just loose dirt and rocks now..upper half still good. Also I found the entrance to myles away...it's 50 feet before the vfr sign ..on the last main switch back..
That's true bro congrats to him
Great video! Inspiring to watch the progression! I still can't get up the guts to do any of those gaps. I thought for sure I could do Big Daddy after riding past it and watching vids with the gopro effect, but nope...still get cold feet every time actually there when the imagination gets going...
Agreed. We all have those features we have mental walls to overcome
Nice. I'm in migration process, will live in Vernon. I hope to have the opportunity to know you and ride with you guys. Subscribed.
I’m in roberts creek for the next couple days and was really hoping to hit this trail. Think you could give me the rough area? Any info would be greatly appreciated
Just go up Largo road to Westridge trail. Before you get to HWY 103 trail, keep a sharp eye out on the left for a well hidden trail. It’s ridden a lot, so the trail itself is well defined, but the entrance isn’t. Good luck and enjoy!
@@gsallenbach awesome thanks. Do you actually follow west ridge trail a bit or is it straight off largo?
