I ask myself why so many voted for Trump. I have come to the conclusion that it’s because people love certainty. And certainty that is divorced from the truth is a path to tyranny but that’s what Trump provides. Despite his myriad of lies that he didn’t steal classified documents, that he didn’t try to overthrow the last fair election. Spite all of his refusal to acknowledge responsibility for the women he has molested and for the fraud he had committed. People seem attracted to the fact that he is certain. Perhaps, that’s why so many fundamentalist Christians support him because fundamentalist is the Christian form of an idea of certainty “we know all the right answers so therefore we’re okay” but that’s not life. Life is lived very much on the grey. And just like certainty is the opposite of faith so certainty in the political world is the opposite of a safe and secured future. That’s why we get a defense department leader who’s an obvious alcoholic,womanizer, philander who’s only qualification is filty to Trump.And Tulsi Gabbard as the director of national intelligence even though she had zero experience in this fundamentally important role. People we need to be comfortable living in the grey because certainty divorced from truth is the path to tyranny. Unless we stay vigilant and unless we stay committed to the truth WE are all on our way to a collective national nightmare.

He's just as clueless as his predecessor. Bombing Somalia, starting tradewars, threatening countries, supporting genocide, siding with Nazis and, of course, not being able to stop any conflict, not even the ones he started himself. The circus continues...
