    I came across this because my husband is so fixed on healing from cancer that it's like an idol..well it seems that way for me....he does love the Lord but he is so set on this healing that he does not even consider relaxing and trusting and resting in Jesus and allowing GOD to be Lord of this part of his life. My hubby is so set on his healing that any other option..like Heaven (he IS 75) that it makes me feel so sad for him and also a little annoyed at his lack of desire to see Jesus ! My hubby LOVES the Lord but it seems he loves his family and his healing MORE...his desire to be healthy is definitely become and idol ...thank you for your video and now I plan to pray for my husband about this. It will help our children too , to accept his passing when it happens . Blessings and shalom my sister....K

      Kathleen A Granny Off Her Rocker hi Kathleen. Thank you for sharing about your husband. I think a lot of the obsessing is a fear of losing control. We have trouble surrendering to the Lord and really trusting Him. I realize more and more that God wants us to want Him more than we want anything else. I’m sorry about your husband and I really hope he finds some peace. Thank you again for your comments 😊

    Thank you for taking the time to share this update. You are a beautiful soul and have helped me more than anyone I’ve found on UA-cam. Like you, my parents would fight at night and I’m just coming to realize that is likely why I’m so triggered by certain sounds. I found an organization called Childhood Domestic Violence Association and I’m starting to see if there are more resources in my area. Praying for you, me and all of us survivors. GOD Bless you!

      Erika C. Hi Erika. Thank you for your comments. I’m so glad if listening to my story has helped you. It’s really a process. It doesn’t come all at once. When my brother died last August it brought up a lot of childhood pain. I grieved knowing all he went through as a little boy in our home and how he struggled his whole life because of it. I’ll try to do another video soon. I’m sorry about your pain. Be brave and face what comes up. You need to heal.

    sure. I've had candida 20+ years but not always realized that candida was the problem. Symptoms were depression, anxiety attacks, arthritis, pelvic floor dysfunction. brain fog, muscle spasms, acne, rashes etc . I went on the candida diet (high fat low carb) and it did suppress the symptoms but it certainly didnt heal me and over time just made me worse especially with mood swings/irritability. I have recently started high carb 'extremely' low fat and i have some improvements but it is still early days. How did you go with this diet? Did it heal you? thanks

    • @kefirkaren571
      @kefirkaren571 4 роки тому

      paul w that sounds very similar to me. Unfortunately, I had to stop the high carb because I couldn’t regulate my hypoglycemia. My blood sugar was dropping really bad and spiking when I ate fruit. So, I’ve been back on the high protein, high fat again which I know won’t heal me but keeps my blood sugar more steady. I’m very limited in food choices,too, because of sensitivities and histamine intolerance. It’s discouraging. I want to try the lower fat and more carbs again.

    • @paulw2002
      @paulw2002 4 роки тому

      ah ok well good luck with that. I also have had huge issues with hypoglycemia. I managed this at first by just continually eating so i couldn't really experience the drop and v slowly over time i was able to go longer without eating. Anyway, let me know how it goes for you, I am interested. I understand your decision to return to the high fat but i really hope this is something i don't have to do.

    i can help you with your issue, i REALLY CAN, i hope you read this and at least give it a try. Ill make it short, everyone has a different chemistry, what works for one might not work for another. from your explanation of your issues, it seems like you cannot digest fats, due to gallbladder not able to produce enough bile..i see you keep wanting to try different foods to find what works for you, therein lies the problem. with candida you MUST stuck to eating ZERO fasts for a long period of time, months and months, the issue is both too much sugar and too much fats. first listen to this lady explain ua-cam.com/video/LcUii0a0gks/v-deo.html now as for your diet, you MUST cut out all sugars, and cut out ALL fats, this means no read meats as red meats grass fed or not have fats. ( PS once you are healed, you can eat red meat again ) only meats you should be eating is lean meats, fish and chicken, cooked with no oil. eat yoru fish and poultry with veggies, pick any veggies, broccoli cabbage, etc. cut out all dairy products for a few months or for as long as you can until your blood is clear of all fats and sugar can flow freely without candida going in to clean out all the fats.. eat lots of liver grass fed liver, liver contains all the vitamins your body needs. you can eat oats, eat oats with collagen powder. collagen will help with production of bile in your liver along with other benefits, also eat lots of artichokes as it helps with bile production as well, eat your leafy greens to yoru heats content. and make sure you are taking your HCL at least 3000mg to 5000mg, you might have low stomach acids and fats cannot get absorbed, take digestive enzymes as well, chew your food VERY well before you swallow, drink your food, chew your water, vitamin B every day supplement, again please cut out all fats and all sugars for a LONG perid of time until symptoms subside, this might take months or even a year, the key is STOP tryign different foods, you MUST stick to a strict no fat and no high sugars for a long time. you are allowed to eat carbs like oats and buckwheat etc. repopulate your gut with probiotics, lactobacillus reuteri is amazing for the gut, i wish i can write more but i will bet you my life you will get better if you follow this. i feel bad for you and i feel your pain so i had to write you this quick comment. your thyroid can be low as well, few drops of iodine every day. no alcohol whats so ever..candida is not your enemy, its only there to clean up access sugars that are getting clogged by fats. once you are back to normal, you can slowly start eating grass fed meats and fats.

    God created animals and humans. He didn’t say the animals were for food... and he didn’t say they weren’t. How do we know that God didn’t provide an array of food in the garden? Do we really know what they ate in the garden? No. We know a few things. It is dangerous to extrapolate what God didn’t say an take it as doctrine. We don’t have enough knowledge to form that opinion. Then remember, Cain was a herdsman. He sacrificed animals... what were the herds for? Animal sacrifices happened before the flood. 🤔 Noah’s food was not defined as only plants. Also, there were two of every kind times 7 of the clean animals. Let’s not read into the Bible, but read it and realize this is a snapshot. I really loved listening to your heart... but I think there are more things to ponder on. I certainly don’t have all the answers. Leaky gut is often from a grain issue... not a meat issue. I firmly believe that our bodies were not originally designed to eat grains, but I have no biblical proof.

    • @kefirkaren571

      Linda McNeil thank you for your comments. Yea, I tried to make it clear that I’m just reading His word and learning from what I see. I really left it that people have to interpret and decide for themselves. I don’t have the answers. I personally think the Bible teaches that what goes into the body doesn’t defile a man but what comes out of the heart.... our sin. I’m still learning 😊

      @@homesteadgamer1257 Let's see... He names vegetation, animals of the sea, air and that crawls on the earth, and herbs as "meat" or food for eating. ". 28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."

      Grains today are also far different in genetic composition and nutrition than back then. They're even not quite close to the grains of the American pioneers, and on a time-scale, that was relatively not long ago. Back even before the flood, grains would have been in their purest form (even selective breeding is a form of genetic modification as it changes how a plant produces food and seeds). Grains back then would not have caused the intestinal problems it does now. Everything is so processed and leans so heavy on carbs with excess forms of sugars that our bodies were definitely not designed for. Personally i think the psuedo-grains and ancient grains and more wild grains are better for us. There are also things like eating pork and processed/melted cheese that cause addictions in the brain when we eat them. Leaky gut can also come from too much meat and cheese and not enough of a dietary balance, it also can stem from too many NSAIDs for too long (Ibuprofen, aspirin, etc), too many antibiotics, too many overactive gut flora. It's NOT dangerous to try to individually interpret the bible based on which bible we have, but since that is the case, we probably should not try to base our entire diets off food that no longer exists in the world. Not a single animal or plant in the world today is as pure as it was when in Eden or freshly out of Eden. Many people also do okay on any food, and some only do okay on a few foods. I think diet needs to be between the individual and God.

As I said I am not tech savvy so that would be like asking me to speak Chinese, lol. I don't wish for you to be exposed to any danger. She also told me I could make a burner account...more Chinese...she could assist me though when she comes over this weekend. We could exchange through that with very little exposure. Kefir Karen I've been ill, every Spring I get this nasty cold for about a week I'll be out of commission. Anyway, I hear all you're saying. While I haven't tried all of the diets you've mentioned I am aware. Many intolerances I have although with a few exceptions, I don't have to eliminate an entire grouping. The fear I understand. We shouldn't be fearful of food but some cause great difficulty for me so I keep my diet which is individual to me as no published diet has been successful to date. It is a process. I did by the way watch the video that you suggested and I enjoyed it, some interesting points made. The doctor has some unique perspectives. I have been praying for you Karen and I do hope this new directive you're taking works for you. The fact that you keep trying says it all. I'm trying to follow the direction or breadcrumbs that I'm being given but I don't always notice or maybe notice "too" many things and then I can't discern what's what. Learning to live moment by moment is helping but a long way I have to go. Don't stop trying. Blessings, Nanette

    Hi Karen, what a powerful question you ask. Sat me back in my seat. I'll be thinking on that for awhile but I think I may have the answer already. As you speak I hear me echoing your words. Maybe we are on a similar path. I do hope yours is easier than mine. I've always been a Christian but the last few years the physical pain has been a catalyst to a much deeper place, so in a way I am most grateful to the pain. However some days grace is not what I am feeling. Very happy to see your recent uploads. You aren't boring, if my vote counts for anything. I too, feel boring so I don't speak of this subject matter to really anyone with exception of my daughter. It's an intense situation so the conversation it demands can be heavy. Not many care to delve into that if they don't have personal interest. Your caring delivery will help many when they stumble upon your channel as I have done. A very limited diet is something I also deal with and it is difficult. I agree 100% with you that we too have some responsibility in our troubles. Its quite the puzzle don't you think? I believe my heart has been broken by the loss of my childhood. Being obsessed 24/7 by fear and worry doesn't allow for anything else. My experience is this, it wasn't just the abusive events themselves. Between them, I was consumed thinking about when the next one would happen. And yes, no joy is devastating when you realize what you've been missing.

    • @homesteadgamer1257
      @homesteadgamer1257 4 роки тому

      That is the problem with trying to find the full truth in the bible. It has been translated and edited to preference for ages. Many versions I have read mentioned Heavenly father saying the clean animals were intended for eating - and as I interpret it, He said this because the plants which Noah took on board in seed form would need time to grow and the people needed to eat in the meantime. The clean ones were for sacrifice and food, which began the start of eating meat, and God had precise instructions for it. Eating bloody meat was a sin; today we know because it can carry disease. There are many versions, though, that do not say God says to use clean animals for food.

    I'm sorry you're struggling. Your story sounds very similar to mine. Domestic violence has been part of my life since birth and it surely does a number on a developing mind. The last five years have been life altering. I have been searching for a support group for years...just others to talk with that have some understanding. The search for that has been unsuccessful but then I found your above video. Please post more of these as I feel as though I have someone that gets me. I have a loving husband and daughter however they have not experienced, thankfully, the horror that is domestic violence. Blessings, grace please

      I eat plant rich, but high protein. The nutrient levels in grains are insufficient and hard on our guts... which is why they are refined and processed. High fiber veggies and proteins with good healthy fats (not seed and vegetable oils) give us enough nutrients and keeps the calories low that we won’t be deficient. I eat this way to heal my gut.

      I lived through this and even married into it. I did go through counseling. The thing people don't tell you is that counseling isn't instant. It will hit you at a later date. I was going to Al-Anon for about 6 months; my ex started up his crap. All of a sudden - I found it hysterically funny. It was amazing that not being drawn in to an argument stopped the whole process. My ex husband ended up in the floor thrashing about like a child having a tantrum. This was a big body builder kind of guy. You would have thought it was funny too.

    Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that FREAKS me OUT!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!

      xcalabur18 Awww, I’m glad you asked. It’s always scary to go into the unknown... So, they already had a port in the top of my hand where the saline solution was going in. When they were ready to sedate me I was laying on my left side and the anesthesiologist said it would burn a little going in to the vein.... which it did for 2 seconds... I looked toward the wall and instantly felt relaxed and sleepy. Next thing I knew, I was in the recovery room.... do you mind me asking what your surgery is for?

      @xcalabur18 6 років тому

      Thank you so much for replying!! It all sounds so crazy- so you actually felt it burning? I hope it's not too bad? And then you actually felt yourself getting sleepy? Or was it more like you were wide awake one sec and then waking up the next? How would you describe how it felt when the medication hit you? And so no chance you could have kept your eyes open? It was that strong? I'm getting my tonsils removed- 3 years of constant strep throat and I'm just tired of it!!! Never had surgery before, though

      @kefirkaren571 6 років тому

      xcalabur18 The burning was minimal and only stung a few seconds.... not bad at all. Yes, I felt sleepy and then woke up in recovery. I had my tonsils out years ago and also my appendix. You go out very quick and it’s pretty amazing, actually. When you wake up you will be shocked that it’s over! 😊

    Hi Kefir Karen, thank you so much for sharing this and the update. And I'm sorry to hear the progress was stunted. I just want to take the time to be a little more clear with my situation, my first comment was bit hurried.After doing the candida diet for 6 months I saw a little healing but not much and when I tried to have anything carb or sugar even just like a few nuts or a couple berries my candida would flare up pretty bad. Out of desperation and much searching on the web I found the 80/10/10 diet and people curing candida with it. Basically it's a high carb high fruit and veggies raw diet with 10% of calories or less from fat. So I tried it. And I could see it was working, however the fruit still contributed ALOT of sugar so I was still having issues with Candida flare ups even though overall I felt I was healing.. so what I did was just replace all the fruit sugar with complex carbs (potatoes, beans, rices, etc.) and this began to work much better for me. Now I do occasionally have fruit and meat and dairy but generally speaking I try not to. I think it would be better if I didn't have them at all for the time being actually. But I can tolerate them more than when on the candida diet. So now my typical day mostly consists of eating things like potatoes, beans, rice, vegetables, no oils, no high fat foods like nuts or avocado or meat or dairy.. I also take probiotics and antifungals, I think I need to watch your kefir video :) Anyways, I hope this helps. Because I noticed you mentioning the high fruit was an issue but you still feel instinctly that's the better way to go.. that's exactly how I felt, so that's why I replaced the high fruit with complex carbs and I am doing so much better now. I am curious, are you taking any natural foods with antifungal properties?

    • @kefirkaren571
      @kefirkaren571 6 років тому

      James Gatz Unfortunately, I can’t do grains, beans or potatoes. Ugh! High lectins, nightshades etc.... I’m glad you’re doing well with them.... The 80 10 10 was the one I was trying also... I’m going to try a less strict version of it very soon. I tried many anti fungals over the years, but not now.... I even had to give up my homemade kefir, sauerkraut and kimchi because I developed a problem with the histamines.... that was a real bummer! I miss my kefir BAD!

  • @jamesgatz7515
    @jamesgatz7515 6 років тому

    Hello Kefir Karen,I just want to say I agree 100% with you here. I've found many sources and scientifically peer review studies that prove high fat in the diet causes insulin resistance which leads to blood sugar spikes, feeding candida. I have candida and I tried the 'candida' diet for about half a year. I got fed up pretty quick and searched the internet for alternatives. When I found the low fat alternative I gave it a shot and here I am after about 3 weeks much more healed than I ever was on the candida diet. And not only that but I have carb foods all day, and sometimes fruits. I would love to hear an update from you or maybe even a video about it.. I have no doubt that the high fat is the issue. I used to have meats and veggies and tons of vegetables too. I couldn't even eat a few berries or I'd have a major flare up. Nowadays I might eat several bananas, berries, dates, raisins, and some other fruits, and still nothing even close to a flare up like before.. however I still need to be careful with the sugar in fruits which is why I generally eat mostly potatoes, beans, rices, and flours.. I cut meat but occasional I do have some maybe a couple times a week. And same with dairy, but daily I usually just eat veggies and grains. I have healed so much!

      James Gatz Thanks so much for sharing your own story. I’m still really struggling. I had to return to a more paleo type diet because I could not control my blood sugar.... Too much fat in the bloodstream is not caused by protein or fat but ... sugar and carbs. Please do your research. I had a number of health issues to deal with (most of which started after I had my son). I tried the ovo-lacto-vegetarian diet (6 yrs), then I went vegan (3+ yrs) but things only got worse (the diet contained no animal protein and hardly any fat ... go figure). As a matter of fact, the vegan diet added to the problems I already had. So I had to stop. Decided to try Low Carb, then Keto. Started feeling better and better. 6 months ago I heard about Zero Carbs and decided to give it a try which again improved my health. Recently, I added fermented dairy products (kefir, yogurt, soured milk, quark) mostly made from *raw milk* to my diet and now I feel like a new born baby. I honestly believe that you are not doing yourself a favor by cutting out protein and fat. The meat-only diet is great because it eliminates all food intolerance issues (hardly anyone is allergic to meat). After a while you can start adding things back (one at a time). Your body will pretty much immediately let you know whether or not you tolerate any given food.

      Karen: I honestly believe that your problem isn't the meat or anything in it but the plants, and the only way to find out what is going on is to eat one single food for a while, give your body a rest, and then start adding other foods back in, one at a time. I have two more videos in mind that might be of interest to you. I'll put the links below.
