Gatomon doesn't see itself since it hit the trash first and resolved its effect in the trash when a card (itself) was trashed from security. The only time it sees itself is if you digivolved into it by the effect of cards such as Patamon or Messenger of Hope, since it would be on the field to see cards being trashed from security.

Its a really interesting card with really good effects but its definitely not a mandatory place holder, especially not how Deathx was after it hit the scene. Its really good, especially to try and clear out a board but its not game ending, unfortunately an 11cost, 11kdp, lvl6, with no sources is not super threatening to decks anymore, even with the prevalence of decks that's entire gimmick is playing via eff. With the draw back of not having access to galantX, and digivolving being a loss of its suedo floodgate esque effect, really shows major draw backs to the card. Even if it acts as an instant blast source for Crimson, it makes it more of an already large target. I'm curious to see if people make some sort of rush quartz deck with it, but i think its better used as a 7 cost option (with your opponents field having ideally 2 digimon+) that provides instant removal of a 14k-17kdp digimon with no deletion prevention on arrival, maybe 2 digimon if you manage the alliance at end of turn. Its definitely a major buff for the vortex deck though, im sure people will find ways to abuse it in decks.

Medieval is nuts but lowkey feels like a replacement for some older generic threats like DeathX given its ability to pressure. But I'm still a little excited for the meta shakeup it brings for decks that have to adapt to it, and might start employing some strategies that got left behind a bit like Retaliation. Though the amount of digimon effect immunity that's being given out might not make the card as busted. It's influence also depends on how they choose to rule its cost reduction effect too. Given that it applies before actually having to pay the play cost it's ambiguous at the moment if you're allowed to just declare the effect and suspend digimon at 0 memory while a floodgate is present, and if the card returns to your hand or gets trashed, or if any of it is allowed at all if you know you can't pay the cost! It's a mess, but finally forces the devs to set a hard rule on the problems they've had since BT7 Susanoomon. Also Gatomon doesn't gain memory when playing itself from its own effect. Effects can trigger from actions that made them exist, but security getting trashed and the card playing itself from trash are two different actions so the effect doesnt see security getting removed since it gets played from a different effect afterwards. Only if its played directly from security can it trigger, ex. ST10 Mastemon

its pretty good to stack multiple retaliation effects. if your opponent have protection, they need to protect against each instance of retaliation

I'm looking forward to NSO cause I'm a sucker for Piedmon and how cool Boltboutamon looks. The deck will likely be more effective as a pure purple build with the dark animal line to draw and trash a ton, but I'll give it a shot building it yellow/purple and see how that goes, it looks like fun.

Totally agree with you on zero cost options. The point of Digimon is that your opponent gets to play with how much memory you give them.

Loogamon and Bowmon are fine cards. Easily stoppable with floodgates.

I agree with a lot of this list aside from the analog and purple hybrid cards. I think the dogs need to be hit bad, I just saw the other week a purple NSO deck that uses the dog engine to otk and realized that maybe the purple engine is too fast. Mirage has needed a straight ban, not limit, for some time now, it has hit too many markers for the reasons of them limiting other cards to the point where i would argue it is not worth having in the game at all anymore. I don't think we need to take off any of the cards on the list currently predicated on the other cards not getting hit. If mirage gets hit, sure add back the mach, but the others were limited for a reason and adding in these cards to decks that don't seem like they are posing too much of a problem will easily cause a problem. I dont think we need more greymon and DexDoru support right now, especially with BT20 focusing in on the X antibody digimon.

Honestly with how the newer decks are looking I wouldn’t be surprised come unification the “OP” decks get nerfed in some capacity to bring down the power level of the game to make things more balanced.

How is it only now that I'm learning Mega gargomon ace can prevent the reactivation of the MagnaX effect? That's so huge.

The only thing I’d say you are missing atm is BT14 Kari. That card can help the Take and Mirage/Anga MUs since you can give a security minus when they bounce/burn a security or if take burns it you mess up their combo turn

You really need the ST Rapid lvl5 imo for some of the rough match ups. It is a great zwart target, prevents anga bounce, then also keeps your ace body sticking on the board. MegaGarga Ace is the Anti Imperial/AnGa body since it stuns the body swinging or tamers.

I'm sad to see Ultimatechaosmon leave the list. It's such an effective way to surprise clear a bunch of security. I worry that losing him will slow the deck down to where closing out the game becomes difficult.

The best post-banlists decks: Ancientgarurumon - It's actual cards didn't get hit; just the general degenerate stuff any deck could do. also; it's Blue; oh no; the Ukkos are gone? They can just use Strabis to keep the same consistency. Or whatever they want as the low end because they just spirit evolve. Imperaldramon - Was already top 3. Numemon got whacked. ancient is still here. Also; it's blue, and not hit at all MirageGaogamon - Was also very strong and not hit at all. Also; it's blue MagnamonX [Blue Base] - It's not getting swarmed by Numemon or full power AncientGaruru as fast. Also; it's blue. Notice a theme here.

Also, you got the right base, but Fenriloogamon DNA OTK is stronger and scarier than Dexdorugamon.

Partition gets around DP reduction other than Ruin Mode. However, Primogenitor does not get around DP reduction.
