Do you have AutoCAD open already?

@shklodas if you have Cyclone3DR and AutoCAD open you have an option to send elements across or use a common file type such as DXF to AutoCAD. Not sure about Inventor. The lastest C3DR should allow other file types to import in different software packages

I don’t have directly one for beams, however you could adjust it

What’s the feature you are extracting?

​@@KlausR3D I have been testing it on a number of topo features within an example point cloud data set such as benches, fences, bollards etc.

@@GeoBob81 sounds to me that you need to change the code from heights point to lowest one. At what height do you extract the data? You might need subtract your offset to the ground

@@KlausR3D thank you for your response. Similar to your video, I create the DTM, separate the cloud from DTM (usually selecting a suitable height to remove the ground and any obstructing features or noise e.g. 0.4m away from object), clean the cloud and ensure that all objects of interest are now individual clouds, run a projection of the clouds onto the DTM so I can create polygons to export positions alongside heights, select all of the clouds of interest (above ground) and run the script to extract the X, Y and height; here I find that I get the highest point within each cloud rather than for example a value of say 0.9m for whatever object.

@@GeoBob81 if you use a certain offset, you could use that to subtract from it or isn’t it an offset?

@joshypoo777 in ACAD you start the copy command, swap back to your text editor select all (copy the coordinates) and paste them into the command line. Hit enter and they start to appear. To update the values simply save the file 😉

What license do you have activated? Are you having only one he basic license?

You need to excuse my Spanish - I believe you are asking which point cloud format you require? Cyclone3DR can import many different standard formats formats such as E57, PTS, LAS, LAZ, … or have built in functionality for Leica’s LGS or Reg360 / Cyclone Core database. Let me know if that answers your question

It comes down to what you would like to achieve. When you mention pipe extraction, can you show me an example?

@@KlausR3D Thank you for your answer :). , Lets suppose I have a point cloud of a tunnel where water pipes and drainage pipes go through. Both pipes are in different position and different heights. I need to extract the geometry of the tunnel, at the same time the center line of both pipes. Is it possible to extract this information in one dxf file, and use it for further purposes? Thank you in advance :).

@@kaltrinaloshi9331 yeah that can be possible. There are a few ways and depending on the data and how they run you can tweak the workflow slightly

@@KlausR3D But in my register 360, the images that I'd captured didn't appear. Only label for geotag images but there is no photo. Any help?

The images is attached to the Geotag. It you click on the tag, you will see in Reg360 the preview and the option to open it up 😉

@@KlausR3D Well, the steps are very fast in the video, not really sure what you used in order to fix the mesh at the bow holes so I would really like to know more of how that was done (the tricky, clever stuff). In general, anything that has to do with reverse engineering from point clouds. Almost all videos with 3DR are about geostuff so I welcome any and all videos containing non-geo things. But really, really thanks for this video!

@@KlausR3D Dang, its really hard for real users to make Leica understand their own product. So many bugs in this new version :( And Recommend link within a group really doesn't work anymore

@@KlausR3D Done several times, but it gets frustrating if they don't know their own product as well as their users. Its that way with R360 since day one :) Don't want to hate on Leica, we are definitly power users with nearly all Scanning Products Hardware and Software (except Mobile Mapping). But we also know the internal conflict regarding Cyclone and R360 and i hope there will be a good solution in the future.
