I love fishkeeping but I admit had to a few make mistakes to get good at caring for them. It sucks that this person got traumatized by that emotional abuse.... I remember my first fish (gup-E was his name) I trained him to do some tricks like swim through a hoop, and when I dropped a pebble in, if a bubble stuck to it, he would pop the bubble and I'd give him a treat for that. He lived about 3 years and I remember when he was dying, he still found the strength to pop some bubbles for me. I was completely devastated when he died. Yet somehow, after having cared for so many more guppies, if I saw one die today, it would barely affect me, I guess as you get older you just become more callous.....
