Here at Sunset Drive, we preach the Word. We do not ask you to be perfect. There is no prior knowledge of scripture needed, just an open ear and an open heart.
We are a Bible Believing Church, and we believe that the door to salvation is always open through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, and so are the doors to our church.

Who wants to refutes this Jw's, claimed, the scriptures were written which are intended for physical Israelites, then passed it to the Jw's, the new Jerusalem of Jehovah, after Jehovah figuratively sent Jesus and the 6 swordsmen to slaughtered his physical Israelites, @Ezek, 9:1-11, then Jesus affirmed it, @Lukes,4:18-31/ Mat, 21:43/ 23:37-39,
I have read this several times...... When you put Jw's do you mean Jews? and what do you mean by: Jehovah figuratively sent Jesus and the 6 swordsmen to slaughtered his physical Israelites? It would be easier to agree or not if I understood your point
The verses shows, Jehovah never entrusted the spiritual matters to the physical Jews, Jesus said, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you, and give it to a nation, which will bear it's fruits, ( continue doing Jehovah's will,) the said nation , is his established org, started from his apostles, he called them his spiritual mother,,,continued by the JW's org, since no literal Nation in all earth exactly doing God's will,Paul said, they were Jews not by blood and flesh,@Rom,2:28-29,
Jesus was sent to the Jews: Matthew 15:21-28 King James Version 21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. -------------------------- Jesus even sent his disciples to the jews Matthew 10:5 King James Version 5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: ------- it started with the jews Luke 24:47 King James Version 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. ============ Romans 1:16 King James Version 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. ================= Paul even preached to the Jews first and then went to the Gentiles Acts 13:46 King James Version 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. =============== Jesus was not accepted by the Jews - John 1:11-13 King James Version 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. ================ So Gentiles or me and you can be accepted into the faith by our trust in his word and his life he gave on the cross and the blood he shed for us all - to those that believe eternal life
Also Rom 2:28-29 is speaking of circumcision look at the verses before : 25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. 26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? 27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
Correct, not all physical Jews were rejected, like the apostles, and their followers, Jesus never teach them to partakes any physical wars, this is earlier prophecized by Isaiah,@ Isaiah, 2:4/ Done by the apostles,@ Eph, 6:12, they never resisted , these new Jerusalem were gathered out of Nations, @Ezek, 36:24, / they dwelt in an unwalled villages, @Ezek, 38:/ Jesus established this temple of God, @Zac,6:13, these new Jerusalem, were not only Physical Jews, as Jesus commanded his apostles, "go, and make disciples in all earth, teachings them to do the ( same ) I teached you, he never said, make disciples but leave them whatever they want to believed or do, so, to determined the real followers of Jesus, the churches leaders and their should believed and acts like Jesus early followers, @Mat,28:19-20, @@sunsetdrivebaptistchurch3585
If I want to know about the Mormon church, I’ll ask the Mormon church.
Classic sweet tea induced ramblings. Nonsense.
can you explain?
You are incorrect. We believe the Bible and Book of Mormon go hand in hand. Why are you bashing religions?
www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/gospel-topics/bible-inerrancy-of?lang=eng Latter-day Saints revere the Bible. They study it and believe it to be the word of God. However, they do not believe the Bible, as it is currently available, is without error. Joseph Smith commented, “I believe the Bible as it read when it came from the pen of the original writers” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith, chapter 17). The Latter-day Saints have a great reverence and love for the Bible. They study it and try to live its teachings. They treasure its witness of the life and mission of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Prophet Joseph Smith studied the Bible all his life, and he taught its precepts. He testified that a person who can “mark the power of Omnipotence, inscribed upon the heavens, can also see God’s own handwriting in the sacred volume: and he who reads it oftenest will like it best, and he who is acquainted with it, will know the hand [of the Lord] wherever he can see it” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 56). As the Bible was compiled, organized, translated, and transcribed, many errors entered the text. The existence of such errors becomes apparent when one considers the numerous and often conflicting translations of the Bible in existence today. Careful students of the Bible are often puzzled by apparent contradictions and omissions. Many people have also been curious about references by biblical prophets to books or scriptural passages that are not currently in the Bible. In addition to the Bible, Latter-day Saints reverence and study the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and the words of modern prophets and apostles. All these sources of eternal truth work together to establish, clarify, and testify of the plan of our Heavenly Father and to bring people unto Jesus Christ. Latter-day Saints believe in an open scriptural canon, which means that there are other books of scripture besides the Bible (such as the Book of Mormon) and that God continues to reveal His word through living prophets. The argument is often made that to be a Christian means to assent to the principle of sola scriptura, or the self-sufficiency of the Bible. But to claim that the Bible is the final word of God-more specifically, the final written word of God-is to claim more for the Bible than it claims for itself. Nowhere does the Bible proclaim that all revelations from God would be gathered into a single volume to be forever closed and that no further scriptural revelation could be received.
No security during the 1000 years of peace - so read it for yourself. It says it very plainly Rev 20:15 If you're not written into the Book of Life you get hurled. Also, there are scriptures to back up all the beliefs in blood, government and other stuff. If they come door to door, it's to preach the good news of God's Kingdom coming to earth as it is in heaven.
Again 144,000! Here's the scripture in Revelation 7:4 'And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000 sealed out of every tribe of he sons of Israel: 5. .......9 After this I saw and LOOK! a great crowd which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.' JW's believe that there will be a GREAT CROWD that comes out of the Tribulation.
HOW TO BE SAVED: JOHN 3:16 That is what JW's believe in. Earing their way to heaven - no - but following the example of Jesus himself. Matthew 11:1; also Mt 24:14
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah%27s_Witnesses_and_salvation#cite_note-10 Jehovah's Witnesses teach that salvation is possible only through Christ's ransom sacrifice[1] and that individuals cannot be saved until they repent of their sins and call on the name of Jehovah.[2] Salvation is described as a free gift from God, but is said to be unattainable without good works that are prompted by faith. The works prove faith is genuine.[3] Preaching is said to be one of the works necessary for salvation, both of themselves and those to whom they preach.[4] They believe that baptism as a member of Jehovah's Witnesses is "a vital step toward gaining salvation",[5] and that people can be "saved" by identifying God's organization. They believe that conforming to the moral requirements set out in the Bible is essential for salvation.[6] The Witnesses reject the doctrine of universal salvation,[7] as well as that of predestination or fate. They believe that all intelligent creatures are endowed with free will. They regard salvation to be a result of a person's own decisions, not of fate.[8] They reject the concept of "once saved, always saved" (or "eternal security"), instead believing that one must remain faithful until the end to be saved.[9] Regarding whether non-Witnesses will be "saved", they believe that Jesus has the responsibility of judging such ones, and that no human can judge for themselves who will be saved. Based on their interpretation of Acts 24:15, they believe there will be a resurrection of righteous and unrighteous people. They believe that non-Witnesses alive now may attain salvation if they "begin to serve God".[10]
@@sunsetdrivebaptistchurch3585 Ok if you reject all the teachings. What do you know about salvation? What have you learned from your research? Do share, because I'm stating what I've read in the Bible.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
@@sunsetdrivebaptistchurch3585 Thank you!
When Jesus returns, Mt 24:30 and yes JWs are preparing themselves for his return now! It is sooner than you think! And no angles will not destroy all non-JW's. This report is written with a few misconceptions in it! Here is what will be destroyed: Rev 11:18; Psalm 37:10,11
Jesus was 'caught away in the clouds' when he was resurrected. Body and all. Whoever wrote the report you're reading missed that fact... So Jesus reappeared to the apostles after his resurrection, eight days later. John 20:25-31 This is when Thomas stuck his finger in Jesus' wound.

www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/jesus-body/ If Jesus was raised up with a spirit body, how could his disciples see him? Spirit creatures can take on human form. For example, angels who did this in the past even ate and drank with humans. (Genesis 18:1-8; 19:1-3) However, they still were spirit creatures and could leave the physical realm.-Judges 13:15-21. After his resurrection, Jesus also assumed human form temporarily, just as angels had previously done. As a spirit creature, though, he was able to appear and disappear suddenly. (Luke 24:31; John 20:19, 26) The fleshly bodies that he materialized were not identical from one appearance to the next. Thus, even Jesus’ close friends recognized him only by what he said or did.-Luke 24:30, 31, 35; John 20:14-16; 21:6, 7. When Jesus appeared to the apostle Thomas, he took on a body with wound marks. He did this to bolster Thomas’ faith, since Thomas doubted that Jesus had been raised up.-John 20:24-29.
@@sunsetdrivebaptistchurch3585 Nice research!!! Thank you!!!
@@sunsetdrivebaptistchurch3585 nice research thank you! What is your take on the the word BEGUILED in Genesis? Also, SEED... both of those have bothered me for decades. I think seed is ACTUAL and not metaphorical. What do you think?
www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/beguile --to lead by deception --------------------------------------- about the seed www.gotquestions.org/seed-of-the-woman.html ============== I use "got questions" alot and then I read and study to make sure of that being said right ============== In my view of the serpent, if Eve and Adam did not want to eat of the fruit then they would not have Sometimes it takes a small statement to move someone --------------- like if your on a diet and someone says " you deserve a cheat day" you just go after the pizza or whatever that you already craved Sin is from our heart Matthew 15:19 King James Version 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: ----------------- from got questions the seed of a woman rather than the seed of a man. This unusual wording could indicate that the woman’s offspring would not have an earthly father. In that case, the protoevangelium is certainly fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Luke 1:34-35).
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, our Lord Savior and soon to be King. As a man, Jesus was a teacher, a prophet and a healer who performed many miracles. However, his focus was not only on the coming kingdom but making known the NAME OF GOD and SANCTIFYING HIS HOLY (HALLOWED) NAME. Psalms 83:18 and Matthew 6:9
Strange teachings. Strange theology. Christ is not going to "become" King. He is and always has been King. In the kingdom of God, Christ the LORD is King. Our Father tells us this. "Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion." Ps.2:6 How long has Christ the LORD been King? "The LORD sat enthroned at the flood, And the LORD sits as King forever." Ps.29:10 How long will Christ the LORD be King? "The LORD is King forever and ever." Ps.10:16 In the kingdom of God, the office of King is held by the Son. Our Father is not King, never claimed to be King, but ALWAYS exalts His Son as King. But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom." Heb.1:8 The God found in scripture is a Godhead. The deity of Christ is the cornerstone of Christianity, as supported by scripture.
About the correlation between Michael and Jesus read Rev 12:7-10; also Daniel 12:1,2
There is no correlation between Christ the LORD, and Michael, except Christ created the angelic host.
@@mattmurdock2868 The name Michael means, 'Who is like God.' There is only one angelic being that was created by GOD in HIS own image and that is Jesus. You are right! I researched this many times and there isn't one scripture that says Jesus was Michael before he came to earth. There is a lot of similarities when comparing scriptures, but none that states that Jesus is Michael.
@TraciMann Nothing like that can be found in scripture. Christ is of the Godhead; YHWH. Christ is not created, but begotten. These words are confusing for the witness, as Watchtower teaches these words are the same, or interchangeable; they are not. We learn in Genesis that everything is begotten after its own kind. Cattle begats cattle. Beast begats beast. Fowl begats fowl. Fish begats fish. Man begats man. God begats God. Christ is from everlasting. But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One who is to be Ruler in Israel. Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting." Mic.5:2
@@TraciMann Angels are not created in the image of God, and man is not created in the image of angels.
@@mattmurdock2868 how do you now that? Where do you find that scripture? I know we look humans were created in God's image and that the angels that came to warn Lot looked like humans, so why not?
John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you , the only true God and the one whom you sent Jesus Christ. So 3 things are important here: in order to get everlasting life (1) you MUST learn about Jesus (2) and his Father.(3)
Who was Jesus praying to? Himself? Jesus himself states at John 14:31 'But for the world to know that I love the Father, I am doing just as the Father has commanded me to do.' The Bible is chock full of these scriptures
The Trinity = God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. JW's recognize God the Father and Jesus His only begotten Son but view the Holy Ghost as God's almighty power, His ability to create.
None of the teachings from Watchtower can be found in scripture.
@@mattmurdock2868 can you please give an example

59 secods of the call I called it the correct name and I was explaining LDS and what that stood for - Latter-day Saints so to define a church: The church is the body of Christ-all the people who accept Christ's gift of salvation and follow Christ's teachings. It is much more than a building. In the Bible, “church” never refers to a building. It always refers to people-the people who follow Jesus Christ. These are some important facts that most people do not know. The Corporations, also known as the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses, created their own customized translation of the “Bible” in 1950, which included the New Testament. The King James Version (KJV) they were using before caused them many problems, after they changed their doctrines so they had to stop using the KJV and create their own customized made bible, which includes significant alterations to support their core teachings. Over the years, they created many New Revised Editions, one of which was the first complete New World Translation (NWT) that included both the Old and New Testaments in 1961. Since then, newer revised editions have been released. Here are the remaining revised editions in order: 1970, 1971, 1981, 1984, and 2013, all of which included more and more and more drastic alterations, such as verses removed, words altered, new words added, punctuation moved, verses restructured, and parts of chapters removed in order to support their own doctrines.
Here is just one example of hundreds of examples of alterations in the New World Translation (NWT) that are done to support the Corporations core doctrines. The alteration “her soul was going out (because she died),” to “ life was slipping away (for she was dying),” was done to erase traces of scripture that support the soul continuing after died so as not to give reader the impression that life continues to exist after body ceases to function. NWT 1984 New Revised Edition Gen 35:18 And the result was that as her soul was going out (because she died) she called his name Ben-oʹni; but his father called him Benjamin. NWT 2013 New Revised Edition Gen 35:18 Just as her life was slipping away (for she was dying), she named him Ben-oʹni, but his father called him Benjamin. A very significant change in the word structure shows the deception of the Corporation.

Check out the nemenhah records (book, second complete edition). And the recent Mormon conference. Both these things were released by native American groups (not our church), and both have more than us lds members. Both support the Book of Mormon. We do believe in the trinity, but as separate beings. And we do believe and recognise theres a heavenly mother. The other things you're saying from that piece of paper is a manipulation and twisting of our beliefs. Please dont falsify things.

Father, Mother, may I meet you In your royal courts on high?” [“O My Father” (hymn #292).] -Bruce R. McConkie (LDS 'General Authority'): “Implicit in the Christian verity that all men are the spirit children of an Eternal Father is the usually unspoken truth that they are also the offspring of an Eternal Mother. …This doctrine that there is a Mother in Heaven was affirmed in plainness by the First Presidency of the Church… they said that ‘man, as a spirit, was begotten and born of heavenly parents, and reared to maturity in the eternal mansions of the Father,’ that man is the ‘offspring of celestial parentage,’ and that ‘all men and women are in the similitude of the universal Father and Mother, and are literally the sons and daughters of Deity’” [Mormon Doctrine (1979), 516.] Mormonism's Official Curriculum Material etc. • “All men and women are literally the sons and daughters of God … Every person who was ever born on earth is our spirit brother or sister. Because we are the spirit children of God, we have inherited the potential to develop His divine qualities. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can become like our Heavenly Father…”[Gospel Principles, Chapter 2: Our Heavenly Family (2011)] • “Elohim is literally the Father of the spirit of Jesus Christ and also of the body in which Jesus Christ performed His mission in the flesh…” [First Presidency and Council of the Twelve, “God the Father,” compiled by Gordon Allred, (1916), 150.] Mormon authorities • Joseph Fielding Smith(Mormonism's 6th president-prophet): “Man, as a spirit, was begotten and born of heavenly parents, and reared to maturity in the eternal mansions of the Father, prior to coming upon the earth in a temporal [physical] body” [Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph F. Smith(1998), 335.]. • Bruce R. McConkie (LDS ‘General Authority’): -“A plan of salvation was needed for the people of earth so Jesus offered a plan to the Father and Satan offered a plan to the father but Jesus' plan was accepted. In effect the Devil wanted to be the Savior of all Mankind and to 'deny men their agency and to dethrone god,'” … “Jesus Christ, Lucifer, and all of us were spirit children of God in the pre-mortal world” [Mormon Doctrine (1958), 193, 278.] Bruce R. McConkie (LDS ‘General Authority’): “The Father begets; the Son is begotten; they are Parent and Child” [Doctrinal New Testament Commentary, Vol. 3, 138.] • Orson Pratt (A 'Quorum of Twelve Apostles' original member): “If none but gods will be permitted to multiply immortal children, it follows that each God must have one or more wives. God, the Father of our spirits, became the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the flesh” [The Seer, 158.]
as far as my comment for Native American groups: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mormons ============== Black Mormons in the United States Before 1978, relatively few Black people who joined the church retained active membership.[12] Those who did, often faced discrimination. LDS Church apostle Mark E. Petersen describes a Black family that tried to join the LDS Church: "[some white church members] went to the Branch President, and said that either the [Black] family must leave, or they would all leave. The Branch President ruled that [the Black family] could not come to church meetings."[13] Discrimination also stemmed from church leadership. Under Heber J. Grant, the First Presidency sent a letter to stake president Ezra Taft Benson in Washington, D.C., advising that if two Black Mormon women were "discreetly approached" they would be happy sit in the back or side so as not to upset some white women who had complained about sitting near them in Relief Society.[7]: 43 On October 19, 1971, the Genesis Group was established as an auxiliary unit to the church. Its purpose was to serve the needs of Black members, including activating members and welcoming converts. It continues to meet on the first Sunday of each month in Utah. Don Harwell is the current president.[14] When asked about racism in the church, he said "Now, is the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints racist? No, never has been. But some of those people within the church have those tendencies. You have to separate the two."[15] From 1985 to 2005, the church was well received among middle-class African-Americans, and African American membership grew from minuscule before 1978 to an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 in 2005.[16] A 2007 study by the Pew Research Center found that 3% of American Mormons were Black.[17] African Americans accounted for 9% of all converts in the United States.[18] A 1998 survey by a Mormon and amateur sociologist, James W. Lucas, found that about 20 percent of Mormons in New York City were Black.[19] Melvyn Hammarberg explained the growth: "There is a kind of changing face of the LDS Church because of its continuing commitment to work in the inner cities."[20] Sociology and Religious Studies Professor Armand Mauss says African Americans are particularly attracted by the focus on promoting healthy families. However, these numbers still only represent a fraction of total church membership in the United States, suggesting that African Americans remain comparatively hesitant to join, partly because of the church's past.[21] Still, Don Harwell, president of the Genesis Group, sees it as a sign that "People are getting past the stereotypes put on the church."[22] LDS historian Wayne J. Embry interviewed several Black LDS Church members in 1987 and reported that "all of the interviewees reported incidents of aloofness on the part of white members, a reluctance or a refusal to shake hands with them or sit by them, and racist comments made to them." Embry further reported that one Black church member "was amazingly persistent in attending Mormon services for three years when, by her report, no one would speak to her." Embry reports that "she [the same Black church member] had to write directly to the president of the LDS Church to find out how to be baptized" because none of her fellow church members would tell her.[23]: 371 In the United States, researchers Newell G. Bringhurst and Darron T. Smith, in their 2004 book Black and Mormon, wrote that since the 1980s "the number of African American Latter-day Saints does not appear to have grown significantly. Worse still, among those blacks who have joined, the average attrition rate appears to be extremely high." They cite a survey showing that the attrition rate among African American Mormons in two towns is estimated to be between 60 and 90 percent.[24]: 7 In 2007, journalist and church member, Peggy Fletcher Stack, wrote, "Today, many black Mormons report subtle differences in the way they are treated, as if they are not full members but a separate group. A few even have been called 'the n-word' at church and in the hallowed halls of the temple. They look in vain at photos of Mormon general authorities, hoping to see their own faces reflected there."[25] In 2015, Joseph W. Sitati a member of The First Quorum of the Seventy, gave a public statement in which he estimated that 15,000 immigrants from various African countries had joined the Church in the United States.[26]
A good lesson. I'm glad you're doing this.
Weather we be with the Lord in an instance or not ,we shouldn't let our hearts be troubled over. One thing for sure it will be the lord carries us there.if that promises is in our heart it will taken care of by the lord Amen
Exactly what I'm struggling with at the moment, your advice is spot on, thanks brother. Ecc 5:2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Thank you- glad that the message helped - and to know that the Lord is still working with us, I am thankful for His mercy and his longsuffering .
Another good message. Thank you.
Thank you😀
Do you think other things beside drugs and alcohol can be a temptation? A lot of times i'm tempted to say things that i shouldn't. Or in eating I'm tempted to over eat when I'm trying to watch because of being diabetic. Or is this the same kind of temptation. 😊
Yes, that is a good point. In this message I limited to drugs and alcohol- but yea, any temptation you can turn to God for help and guidance. Eating too much can be just as tempting as alcohol or a drug
What does the Biible mean when it says if you call someone a fool you are in danger of hell fire?
Raca comes from the Aramaic term reqa. It was a derogatory expression meaning “empty-headed,” insinuating a person’s stupidity or inferiority. It was an offensive name used to show utter contempt for another person. kingjamesbibledictionary.com/Dictionary/raca Raca Vain, empty, worthless, only found in Matthew 5:22. The Jews used it as a word of contempt. It is derived from a root meaning "to spit." Hitchcock's Names Dictionary Raca worthless; good-for-nothing ----------------- The first-century Jews recognized that “anyone who murders will be subject to judgment” (Matthew 5:21), but Jesus warns that even calling another person insulting names such as “raca” is sinful. Murder begins in the heart, and epithets such as “raca” are signs that there is hatred lurking within. The hatred that causes one person to hurl insults is the same hatred that causes another to commit murder. The attitude of the heart is the same, and it’s this attitude that makes a person morally guilty before God. In this psalm the word Brutish is used : kingjamesbibledictionary.com/Dictionary/brutish BRU'TISH, adjective Like a brute or beast; as a brutish form. 1. Insensible; stupid; as brutish men. 2. Unfeeling; savage; ferocious; brutal. 3. Gross; carnal; bestial. 4. Ignorant; uncivilized; untaught.er person. --------------- so in this I used the fourth part when I explaind ----------------------------- as far as the fool: Fool FOOL, noun [Heb.] 1. One who is destitute of reason, or the common powers of understanding; an idiot. Some persons are born fools, and are called natural fools; others may become fools by some injury done to the brain. 2. In common language, a person who is somewhat deficient in intellect, but not an idiot; or a person who acts absurdly; one who does not exercise his reason; one who pursues a course contrary to the dictates of wisdom. Experience keeps a dear school, but fools will learn in no other. 3. In scripture, fool is often used for a wicked or depraved person; one who acts contrary to sound wisdom in his moral deportment; one who follows his own inclinations, who prefers trifling and temporary pleasures to the service of God and eternal happiness. The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. Psalms 14:1. 4. A weak christian; a godly person who has much remaining sin and unbelief. O fools, and slow of heart to believe all the prophets have written. Luke 24:25. Also, one who is accounted or called a fool by ungodly men. 1 Corinthians 4:10. 5. A term of indignity and reproach. To be thought knowing, you must first put the fool upon all mankind. 6. One who counterfeits folly; a buffoon; as a king's fool I scorn, although their drudge, to be their fool or jester. 1. To play the fool to act the buffoon; to jest; to make sport. 2. To act like one void of understanding. To put the fool on, to impose on; to delude. To make a fool of, to frustrate; to defeat; to disappoint. FOOL, verb intransitive To trifle; to toy; to spend time in idleness, sport or mirth. Is this a time for fooling? FOOL, verb transitive 1. To treat with contempt; to disappoint; to defeat; to frustrate; to deceive; to impose on. When I consider life, 'tis all a cheat; for fooled with hope, men favor the deceit. 2. To infatuate; to make foolish. 3. To cheat; as, to fool one out of his money. 1. To fool away, to spend in trifles, idleness, folly, or without advantage; as, to fool away time. 2. To spend for things of no value or use; to expend improvidently; as, to fool away money. ----------------------- So in this verse it was not using the Raca form of fool Instead of sounding robotic - I used a story that my grandmother taught me instead of reading definitions. I hope this answers your question - I hope you have a good day
Thank you for the explanation. I knew I liked listening to you. Lol. If I have another question I know where to go. Have a good day and may God bless you.
And do you have a good bible reading plan?
I am real behind on my reading this year - I use the one year reading plan.
I enjoy watching your videos. I have a question. Was John the Baptist baptized and who baptized him?
The Bible contains no record of who baptized John the Baptist, nor does it say whether John was baptized at all. One way we know this is in Matthew 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
Did I tell you that I like your lessons? You are so true. Thank you.
Greatings from christians in Pakistan
Study study study. The word unknown was added in many translations. Because of this, it has given the wrong impression of the gift. You can find what the gift is in Acts 2. Speaking the wonderful works of God. A good book on this is "Spirit-Filled Language" by Aaron Florent.
Nobody Understand the Heavenly Languages.
Some read acts 2:17 and run with it. If people could magically heal the sick then why aren’t they in a children’s cancer hospital healing dying children? Because they can’t pass around an offering plate to dying children. Saying a tornado will hit Kansas or it’s gonna rain in Florida is not prophecy!
There is no Hebrews 8.26. See... 8:36. I think you meant Romans 8.26.
Yes I meant Romans 8:26- not sure why I said Hebrews - thank you so much for watching
Feel like most believers that are adiment about speaking in tongues are just trying to make others feel like they are more blessed by God
I can see the baggage that you carry of the doctrines of the two churches you have been apart of so far. Hopefully you will go farther. Let me first state that I am not a Charismatic church believer nor what most people see as Charismatic or the type of Pentecostals on TV. The church I was raised in was a church started in the 1930’s by my grandparents. It was called a Free Pentecostal church. Meaning the church did not belong to any organization outside the church or have any other head of the church other then Christ. I can only speak from 67 years of experience of what I saw, felt and witnessed and received. I think I also have Scripture to back what I say without twisting it to follow some denomination because the experience of Pentecost is just that a experience not a denomination or church doctrine, it is biblical and Apostolic. Let me make some points and you can read the scripture as you seem to believe and make your own judgment what it is saying. 1. There are different tongues in the Bible. 2. There is a tongue that is in another language that is spoken by someone like Peter and the disciples did on the day of Pentecost that others understood what they said. I have seen that happen in other nations and even when someone visited America from another nation. I have seen missionaries speak or preach in a language they did not know. 3. There is a tongue that Paul spoke of that seemed to be gotten out of hand in the Corinth church of tongues and interruption of tongues. That is a gift of tongues that is a message in tongues that the Spirit is speaking through someone to the church normally and either he will have the gift to interpret that or someone else in the congregation will. If there is no such person then messages in tongues should not be given because nobody understands what the Spirit, not the person is saying to the church. I have seen that gift in operation at times but it is not common or happens rarely in our circles. 4. There is a gift of tongues that is received when one receives the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. All the 120 on the day of Pentecost received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues to God. They all did not speak in other languages or it would been a great confusion with 120 people speaking 120 languages. Only those that also received the gift to speak in other languages did that and no interpretation was needed. 5. The baptism of the Holy Ghost did not stop on the day of Pentecost as you have been taught. It is in Acts ch 10 and Acts 19:6. Speaking in tongues is throughout the entire book of Acts, how did the Jews that were with Peter in Acts 10 know that Cornelius & his household were filled with the Holy Ghost!? For they HEARD them speak with tongues…they were not language that needed a interpretation? They were not a language that was for other nations because it was a house full of Gentiles who spoke Greek. What tongues were these believers speaking in and why? 6. You seem to like the book of I Corinthians 14 but you are pen knifing the scripture? “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 3But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 4He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 5I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” He is speaking to GOD? He is not speaking to any man or the church? Why? Romans 8:26 “26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” Jude 1:19 “19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” And many other scriptures from OT Joel? To NT. There have been millions from the book of Acts throughout the next 2,000 years who received that gift of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and the 7 gifts that can be given to each believer as GOD wills… 1 Corinthians 12:7-10: ….these are the gifts that you seem to be getting mixed up with THE GIFT by the GIVER? He who John spoke of the cometh after me who shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire? He is the Baptizer in the Spirit. He, Jesus is the one who said…John 16: “7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” There have been manifestations of the Spirit in many revivals and awaking throughout church history in many nations. My grandparents received it. My parents received it. I received it. The gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues (to GOD) and also some of the 7 gifts of the Spirit that works in a Holy Ghost filled believer to edify the church and to have power to witness, cast out devils, heal the sick….etc as the Spirit wills. It is not something a believer turns on and off like a faucet. It is not something taught by man. It is as the Spirit gives the utterance. That old time religion it is good enough for me. It was good for Paul and Silas it’s good enough for me. It will be good enough for you too if it comes from Jesus Christ. Stay away from Charismatic and worldly Pentecostal churches that teach a tongue that IS NOT THE UTTERANCE of the Holy Ghost.
Yes sir, you're on the right track. For starters, The Acts of the Prophets is a complex book and we have to use dispensations and rightly divide the Word of truth to get the facts straight.....but you can. I believe the Word clearly teaches that tounges had their place and time thru scripture but definitely not needed nowadays thanks to precious shed Blood. Jesus turned His ministry over to Paul and we should be believing in such. 3 different times Paul said listen to My Gospel My Gospel My Gospel Speaking from 63 years of experience with churchs and people around where I grew up and all over the country and what the Bible has to say, the Pentecost, Apostolic and Charismatic denominations have a lot of other serious problems in addition to tounges. It's not complicated: 2 Tim 15 Study to show yourself approved not ashamed of your workmanship before God, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the Word of truth.
Hmmmm. You say that the book of Acts is a complex book !? Just read it, believe it and live it.
@@josephc3405 RIGHTLY DIVIDE it, read it, believe it, live it. Whole different ballgame
Wrong, the Bible never says anything about tongue going away. It's funny how you people that don't believe in tongues or prophecy or anything like that but you want to keep the other gifts. You can't pick and choose what gifts to take.
@@larrytowe6672 Yes ! It's 9 gifts but many quench the Spirit. Agree with you brother. Praying they will have an Upper Room encounter.
If you believe the Word clearly teaches that tongues are not needed today, thanks to the precious shed blood; why did the need for God to outpour the Holy Spirit at Pentecost happen at all, seeing that the precious shedding of Christ's blood occurred about 50 days before Pentecost. One of the purposes of the sacrificial death of Christ, His resurrection and ascension to the right hand of God the Father, made possible the coming of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Jesus said unless I go away, the Comforter, will not come to you, but if I depart, I will send Him to you. (John 16:4) To minimize the importance of the Holy Spirit in the New Covenant, as opposed to the Old, shows how really little you understand about the purpose of the Holy Spirit in the New Covenant. It seems you can't even rightly divide them. Getting the facts straight and spiritually discerning the things of God (1 Cor 2:11-15) are two quite different things which the natural man cannot comprehend unless he utilizes the Power of the Holy Spirit that has been dispensed to us. If you don't recognize the dispensation of that kind of grace which comes from the power of the Holy Spirit given to the church, which produces the fruit of the Spirit in us, someone has blinded your eyes, thus leaving you virtually ineffectual and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.(2 Peter 1:3-8) I pray that you be strengthened with power through His Holy Spirit in your inner being. To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end, Amen. (Eph 3:16 and 21)
Hello Joseph. Thank you. We Charismatics/Full Gospel believers understand the difference between tongues spoken by a pastor etc in front of the congregation to edify the body of Christ during a church service sometimes with the purpose of interpretation and sometimes to give liberty to the congregation to join in praying in the spirit. You have to admit that the apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit tells us to pray in tongues more than he(Paul) does. This is for the edification of the individual doing the praying. God bless. Oh yeah. P:lease tell your Baptist friends that tongues are not of the devil. Please read Acts 10:44-47
There is absolutely nothing mysterious about Biblical "tongues" - and there is only *one* type - when referring to something spoken, they are nothing more than real, rational language(s); usually, but not always, unknown to those listening to them, but always known by the speaker(s) - it’s their native language (in some cases, it is a language the speaker has learned). _Nowhere_ in the Bible is modern tongues-speech advocated or evidenced. ‘Tongues’ (read, *‘languages’* ) - the divine gift, is the God/Holy Spirit given ability to effortlessly learn to speak and be understood through real-language barriers. It is not xenoglossy (as many people incorrectly assume), nor is it the self-created non-cognitive non-language utterance of what certain Christian denominations are producing today (modern tongues-speech). With respect to Pentecost - In the Greek, the phrase “in their native language” modifies the verb “speaking” in verse 6, not the verb “hearing.” There was no “miracle of hearing” at Pentecost.
I speak in tongues. It is the tongues of men and angels. You should've listened to the video for he says, "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries." I Corinthians 14:2. Mysteries. Tongues of men and angels. Ask the Spirit to reveal truth to you for tongues is by the power of Yahuah. Yahuah's power is old, it is modern and it is forevermore.
@@jannaswanson271 I think you are giving demons control of you. "What is the meaning of Romans 8 verse 26? We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (verse 26). God knows our limitations and frustrations. He knows that our flesh is weak even when our spirit is willing, so his Spirit intercedes for us, even for needs that cannot be put into words. " "What does Cannot be uttered mean? MSEP04 - Groanings Which Cannot Be Uttered - Grace Tidings Secondly, the verse says the “groanings” “cannot be uttered“. This means it cannot be verbally expressed. So why do we try to express it with gibberish? Thirdly, the interpretation disregards the purpose of the miracle of tongues. It was never meant to be used to pray, to sing, or to get the Christians closer to God.Sep 11, 2019"
@@catharsis77 How do you even know what tongues is if not for Scripture? Does the Scripture teach us how to let demons control us?
@@jannaswanson271 It teaches us that it is real languages and not to do it unless there is an interpreter. That doesn't mean somebody just get up and proclaim they know what the gibberish is, it is, hey, I speak Spanish and this is what was said. Romans 8: 26 says that the Holy Spirit communicates our deepest thoughts and needs to God without our utterings. Where does the scripture teach you to stand around making noises in pretend languages? Plenty of people are influenced by demons, indeed, the Devil wanders as a roaring lion, seeking to devour us.
@@catharsis77 The Bible teaches that tongues is a Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Bible says, "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries in the Spirit." Are you saying that you know more than the Scriptures? Are you saying that the Scripture is wrong?
I'm afraid I added and took away from the prophecy of the book of Revelations because I crossed out the words of the book of Revelations and I wrote words in the book of Revelations would that mean I did it?
You need to define word of God because I'm pretty sure you read out of a corrupted English translation sourced out of white Roman Christianity that worships the triniterian god of Constantine. The original Hebrew words that were penned by the writers of Scripture represent the Word of the God of Israel who's name is Yahweh. You probably don't even know Yahweh's name because you study out of a wicked, corrupt English translation that has blotted Yahweh's name off its pages over 7000 times then you're going to tell the world not to change Yah's Word. How about you stop being ignorant and naive and start doing your research to find your way out of churchianity back to Yahweh, the one and only true God proclaimed by Yeshua the Messiah!
I can't speak for all churches, but Sunset Drive has a God-fearing, God loving, caring, passionate KJV bible believing pastor! He doesnt get up there to have people say Amen. A Christian listen to the word of God being preached should be filled with the word n shout Amen. Im not a member because i live to far away. But i visit when i can. Nothing but love for Pastor King!! Keep preaching the truth!

There leaving the church but not the faith
It is good for Christians to come together to build each other up. Often, churches are not uplifting and have turned into a social hall - it is really sad Hebrews 10:25 (KJV) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
