I got to see Rick back in Bournemouth this year and he said a similar banter line to what they said to you, he said "I'm feeling fantastic!" I miss the days where he says "I'm feeling 'bloody marvellous!' after "since 1987!", he used to say that in Bournemouth back in 2018!

No, that's mostly West Somerset opposite the Barry to Aberthaw coast. Any hills you see across the Bristol Channel would be the Quantock Hills or the Brendon Hills; the latter being a part of the Exmoor National Park that connects West Somerset to North Devon. You might even see Dunkery Beacon which is the highest point on Exmoor. I know because I used to live in West Somerset in the 60s, and would regularly see the Steam trains on both sides of the channel. The West Somerset Railway is now basically the longest UK heritage steam railway, and well worth checking out. The same could be said of the whole of West Somerset and North Devon. Wonderful area, but having also lived in Wales, I like both sides of the channel. Also lived in Hereford.

Great video My wife and I are travelling to Liverpool next week from Newcastle. heading down we are going direct with TransPennine Express, but coming home we decided on a different route .. Liverpool to Carlisle, then Carlisle to Newcastle. Amazingly the CAR-NCL journey is only costing us a total of £4.40 (we have railcards) .. a real bargain for such a scenic route Good luck with your channel !
