The best way to fix a dodge ram is to take it to the junkyard lol
Shout out to your Dad!
Hope for more videos on replacing parts as well as installation videos of different things would be awesome
Dear God do not put this into an electronically injected system
I don't but my older/mechanical diesels love the thicker fuel
RANDY IT,S JACOB
Hey rusty , i dont want to hijack your video but heres a link to my newest setup. If you want to delete this comment , thats no problem. Just wanred to show you what im doing now. This helps to get more of the sludgy gunk out of the oil/atf. Btw, atf is awesome. I do add a very small amount of old gas to it because viscosity of diesel is 1-1.25, where atf is 6.0- 7. The jetta runs amazing on it and it keeps the fuel system cleanish ua-cam.com/video/i-1GHr24e0U/v-deo.htmlsi=5tAj2E38JIk8ZxoH
I recently got an Acme Juicerator (I call it my juicefuge). In the past I simply used the settling method with filters like this video. Now, I use the sun to heat the oil all day, then send the atf through the JUICERFUGE to get extra gunk out before pouring in the jetta. Ive been running oil/atf for 2 years. I m experementing with it in the jetta so i can start using it in my 5.9 12 valve bus and im going to use it in a 6.0 truck when i find a decent deal on one
Does storing it under pressure help separate the water?
I don't store it under pressure and not sure if it would help or not could also store it under vacuum too. Only takes 2weeks usually to separate water
Bluetooth turbo.
These guys are struggling so hard. I don't remember 22.5's being that difficult using simple flatbars. Maybe the Boss needs to spend more time in the shop coaching his goofballs instead of leaving them unsupervised before they are good at their job.😅
It's funny, I've seen a Chinese lady change tires twice the size by herself with no problem! 😅
Isn't it better to increase idle, even if you need to turn the fuel screw down? To help with cold starts
When adjusting the fuel screw for more fuel it raises idle so gotta turn idle down or would be 1000 rpm idle
Did I hear "mint"?
Lol great video 😂. I am not a fan of the Tire Doctor videos, so I appreciated your commentary
Time to go union never wanted one but younger ones are talking about Iam701
I use 16.5s on my 16" rims...it's stamped rigth on them not to, but they're just trying to get my to buy more expensive types
I have found that if you use a tire that is 1 inch bigger than the rim, it goes on easier. Doesn't stay on very well but goes on like nobodies business 😂
Obviously, it needs more sparkplugs. 😂
Because you are looking for the viscosity of diesel, you will never get there by adding diesel to waste oil. However if you use non ethanol gas and mix that to the oil you will get a viscosity that is the same as diesel. Just need to figure out what that percentage is for your oil. I have been mixing gas with waste vegetable oil and then adding that to diesel to run in my BEW Jetta and my 6.9 idi. It’s been working fine. I also have a 91 Jetta with a 1.9 aaz engine with a two tank system. It takes awhile for it to warm up in order to switch the wvo tank so it’s not a recommended system for short trips.
My wife has a bew golf have not run oil in it worried the common rail fuel injection would not like it as much as my old stuff my 5.9 Cummins will burn 100% oil no rug in the summer time no problem. And the Jetta 1.6 will to but little low on power and only haveing 56hp need all of it lol I usually use old gas as rug but just happened to have a can of diesel in shed when I mixed up fuel for my Jetta that day
Not looking for the same viscosity as diesel just a little thinner then the oil is
@randymattt hey a bew is not common rail , it's pd similar to a 7.3/ 6.0. You can run oil in them but because it's more difficult getting to the injectors, you will want to make sure the oil is cleaner than an alh or older vdub engines. I have an alh jetta . I have three 250 totes full of oil but now I'm primarily running on used atf because I have a decent source of atf or atleast enough to drive daily from it. I recently got an Acme Juicerator (I call it my juiceruge). In the past I simply used the settling method with filters like this video. Now, I use the sun to heat the oil all day, then send the atf through the JUICERFUGE to get extra gunk out before pouring in the jetta
Gasoline is cheaper and has more solvency for a given volume.
Man, that oil analysis would be off the charts 🤣 A mix of everything, the lab techs would be baffled 😅
Would be interesting to send the sample in and say I'm thinking about buying a tractor and want to know how warn out the engine is and see what they say 🤣
@@randymattt it would be definitely an interesting thing to sea 😆 Imagine being in the room they do the test fer 😆
If you have hydraulic oil i would actually only use that. It is typicly pretty clean and you don't really have to filter it, the filter in the car is enough, if you want to feel safe run it through one or two filters before using. With that motor oil you only get a ton of dirt everywhere in your fuel system.
I mostly only use hydraulic oil the batch in the video was mostly really old brunt hydraulic oil
Giddyup
Used a old hood for a rock sled years ago
Thanks for sharing..
i work with steel wheels in f550's we get the same issue but we use a hydraulic piston to pop the wheels off from the back side. does take some effort still but it definitely sucks less
U know if u put iodine on it, the corrosion gets eaten away in a matter of minutes.. iodine Eats the corrosion made by the mix of steel and aluminum, it pays to think outside the simpleton box work smarter not harder guys 😅
Good to know
Great idea! That's about the best you can do, unless you put a centrifugal filter in the bank of filters.
Good to see someone recycling old oil! Fair play to ya
Or look at the sticker on the cowl, diagram is there usually and no need for a CAD drawing (cad= cardboard assisted drawing).
Old Volvo did not have a sticker
@@randymattt Rodger that. Keep an eye open on the next car you work on. It was a very simple just useful thing they did.
I would refuse to work on that...rolling liability
Ya told her last time we are working on it
Mix gasoline and E85 in with it. The ethanol drags the moisture out and the gasoline portion helps to thin the oil. I'd also boil it to help evaporate the remaining moisture and it will halve the time it takes to filter. I do run this in a common rail injection engine and there's no issues.
I thin it out with old stale gas when I can get it for free what kind of common rail ?
My wife has a newer VW that is common rail but not sure how it will like oil
@@randymattt ford transit with the 2.4 non dpf. Mixing the gas/petrol in makes it easier to thin out the viscosity. It's got 320 thousand k on it.
Do you notice any power loss running wmo in the transit van? My truck is low on power running homemade diesel but it's fine for daily driveing would suck pulling a trailer
@@randymattt there's no noticeable difference. The petrol adds plenty flame front to the oil. Usually 1:8 ratio, unleaded to oil.
How to break heating core.
yet..... hahaha good luck!
I wouldn't even make video, look what happened to that engineer that made the first water fed engine in the mid 2000's, govt straight up took his ass out. Edit: fair lookout
To make fuel from wmo you have to distill it
I wonder how long that turbo will last with no air filter
I left the air box out and inner fender out because Im going to be doing exhaust valve springs / valve seals and it will be easier to sit on the tire to do so. I don't drive it like that
Enjoyed your video. I like the use of pressurized air as your pump. Concerning your filters, most likely they are paper based elements. Water destroys paper elements. It melts the paper together and that of course prevents flow. There are some elements that are not paper. Cim-Tek offers glass based filters. I de-water waste vegetable oil using hot water heater elements to heat my oil to 220 deg F and then push it through a pressure driven centrifuge. Really, I only have to heat it to about 180F as the pressure drop from 80 psi to atmosphere pressure causes the water to flash to steam and evaporate. Also on your sight tube, you may have to drain the tube to remove the water from the tube to get a quicker indication of you tank contents. Looking forward to additional videos from you.
Thank you for your input
I agree with heating your oil to remove the moisture. I found that helped stop the burner shutting off with my waste oil furnace system.
Where are you living in Canada that deer are so hard on the bodywork?😄
Not even a huge deer population here just not very good at avoiding them lol my first gen is a back road beater I usually have to replace grill once every 1-2 years from turkeys and deer
@@randymattt Really? That there's good eating... next time you should throw it in the freezer!😄😅
@@mrMacGoover yes and it's funny to feed it to people and tell them it's roadkill lol
For your filters use house water filters, theyre cheaper to replace when they get clogged
100% better ..than Car Payments - turned out good! 👍
Thank you 👍
Safer than it was before. It'll get her to bingo.
That vehicle needs the junk yard ASAP dangerous to drive
I've seen way worse on Ontario roads lol
Kick rocks bud. That van is good as mint, guy.
Awesome work dude! I remember doing this kind of stuff with my dad on our farm in Ontario. Keeping beaters on the road with very little money.. i still do as much as i can in my driveway. I don't know of youre on Eastern Ontario, but if you are I'd definitely get you to do my next rockers when needed $
I'm kinda near Toronto
Thanks!
@@randymattt I'm near Kingston
Did you paint the inside of the rocker panels before you welded them to the car?
No that would be a good idea tho to make them last longer I just oiled inside after I was done
That's least of his concerns 💀
My 01 supercharged one is on my other channel "youran1993r" lol
Looks clean big difference with procharger ? Or just a little more power
That pro charger is worth more then all my 3 2ng gens put together
vm.tiktok.com/ZM6MCMhkX/. That's my lowered 2nd gen I built didn't take much videos of it and if u look through my tictok there Is a video of my blue short box use to be winter beater but now just use it for fire wood and mud bogs
Not sure of a cut off date per se, but older engines would likely have the most success using crankcase oil for fuel. The emission sensors and soot filtering devises om newer vehicles don't hold up well with clean sulpher-free stuff. The 2cycle Detroit Diesels would thrive on it, they used to run on raw filtered crude. Old Caterpillar and Cummins manual natural aspirated engines could handle filtered crude also, however initial starting would probably be easier on real fuel then switching after the heads got warm.
U both have balls of steel
2nd gens are awesome...they never die...makes me miss my 99 sport blacked out like that and my 01 supercharged lifted on 37s ram...keep it alive
😂
