You should be glad . I'm fucking tired of seeing references on all of my favorite songs .
I find this song can be related to heroin use. Especially when he says "knees are weak, hands are shaking, I can't breathe so give me the drug. Which is the exact feelings felt in the progression of dope sickness.
Also in the first couple verses he talks about what could be the phycological effects of any addiction. Counting till your next high or when your dealer shows up or perscription filled. Also insomnia and the feeling of your soul fading away, and dullness of emotions. Also in another verse it talks about grey thoughts and trying to get rid of them but eventually in denial of wanting to hold onto that thought as an excuse to continue to use. Just my opinion but I didn't see it mentioned in the comments And it seemed too close to ignore
as a heroin addict I fully agree, that's 100% the reason I can relate to the song.

[KSH] Productions I think this is where u went wrong U said " what it actually means" and to be honest dude this song could mean something different to many people That's just how YOU see it. There is no right or wrong on what exactly is the meaning of the song as long as you can relate to it in some way. Everyone feels something different and there is no right answer man.
In an interview, Tim says it's about injecting yourself with positivity. It's about how positivity can be like a drug, and you inject yourself with it, but you turn it into something good and productive. It's like pulling yourself out of a rut. But everyone has a different take away from their songs, which is awesome. :)
