Hello everyone!!!! I’m another Chicagoland train nerd that railfans and models. I can’t wait to share my footage from my railfanning adventures and maybe some clips of my model trains! Happy railfanning fellow train nerds and don’t stop loving trains…even if it’s CPKC GEVOs -CNW 8727
NS Duo Leads a Loaded CPKC Sand Train!!
More NS power on CPKC trains!! I love seeing foreign power! It’s always awesome seeing something out of the ordinary that surprises you when you’re out trackside. This was one of my favorite catches because the leading locomotive was a Dash-9 which is my favorite diesel locomotive!! That’s why I went a little crazy. (sorry) The locomotives are: NS 9963 C44-9W (D9-44CW NS designation) and NS 4254 AC44C6M. ©️ CNW 8727

A CPKC Manifest with All BNSF Power!!!!
Переглядів 3,1 тис.14 днів тому
BNSF doesn’t own any tracks in Northern Chicagoland making their locomotives very hard to catch. However some BNSF locomotives make their way onto other railroad’s tracks as foreign power and typically trail or sometimes lead with the railroad’s locomotives. I have never caught a train with all BNSF power. I had never seen a CPKC train with all foreign BNSF power….until I did! The locomotives a...

Just like the old Caltrain in Bay Area!
Yeah! Metra still hasn’t changed the paint scheme much on the F59PHIs from their former Surfliner paint.
Keep cooking bro. 👍

Why were there two powered units?
The Amtrak Borealis operates between Chicago and the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Having two powered units on each end of the train makes it easier to go back and forth between the cities without having to move the locomotives around.
@ On the Downeaster there are Cabbage units which are f40s without a prime mover or motors. I guess that isn’t standard for other lines. I suppose that would make sense either way.
@@Twooneandthree On the Hiawatha between Chicago and Milwaukee we have two NPCUs that operate regularly 90200 and 90221.
@ ok
90221s everywhere
True, but it rarely leaves service on the Hiawatha.

I gotta see one or two train consist with 8 or more locos, it's not just about power it's about having the ability to stop all of those freight cars and tankers.
True, but if there’s that many locomotives it’s most likely a power move. Especially if you see yard locomotives.
POWWAAAAAA
Yessir!!!!

Clearly a Westbound actually
When I caught KCS 3903 it was going in the northerly direction.
At least you finally know how to make the screen bigger, but the next tutorial will be scene transitions. Other than that, nice video.
Thank you!!! I’m overcoming the struggles of first time video editing. I’ll get there………….eventually.
