There seems to be plenty of salmon.
Beautiful, so lucky. I would love to put in for a day but no idea how to find these spots
This is one of the Crown Reserve holdings. Anglers apply in a draw for specific dates. Can’t remember for sure but Palisades might be a daily reserve. If it isn’t booked you can call ahead and get it on short notice. Most ‘beats’ have several fishable pools that the angler can access practically exclusively.

Last year was a rough summer for any fly fishing, the entire north west was extremely low and warm. Even the Brook trout had issues in the main stretches of river they trave

I really don’t have a favourite, they’re all unique. We’re so lucky as New Brunswickers to have these Crown Reserve jewels available to us. thanks for watching and the feedback, it’s appreciated.
Beautiful video footage, which brings back lots of good memories. Its a damn shame to see that its been clear cut so close to the river, and that you have to walk through that mess to get to a pool ! We stopped going there because the place wasn't up kept the last years we went. How was it when you went ? Seems like the road is closer to the camp then it use to and maybe in better shape.
Thanks for the feedback, it’s appreciated. There is a new road close to the camp with plenty of room for parking but not much space for turning around with a trailer. We had to back our trailer down from the top of the hill. The camp was tidy and yes, beautiful scenery.

Quite a walk to peacefull pool but that was our best fishing when we were there

Lost a big game of crib in that camp and the losers had to jump in the elbow pool naked! Awesome video

Thank you for doing these Crown Reserve vignettes. They are so well done! As someone who hasn't seen some of these places in well over a decade, it helps me remember which place is which.
