Turns out I had fan installed backwards. it would still pull air, but not as effective. Used another fan(air mover) and WAY better. Thanks for the help FABO! Now to install inner springs.

    I have the Doug's D453 headers, the summit h pipe and summit 2.5 exhaust for my 68 fastback. Can't wait to get my 360 back from the machine shop, reassembled and exhaust installed! It's good to hear your setup. You're helping me stay motivated. Now, if I can only get started on the Ron Francis wiring harness install! LOL.

    If the transistor is hot with the key on its either not grounded or a bad ecu.

    Check the transistor on the ecu! See if it got juice on it! I ran into the same thing and somehow the juice was bypassing and going to the negative side of the coil

    So on Edelbrock carbs . Or carters . The secondary jets are one size smaller than the primaries . Swap them ! Put the secondaries jets up front . Primaries in the rear . Now run the same metering needles that came with it brand new . You can only go up or down one rod size per jet size . After that you have to change jets and start again ! I run the yellow staging spring . 4" hg . That way vacum has to drop a little farther before the carb stages power mode ! I got several videos on my channel about trouble shooting Edelbrock carbs ! Ive seen countless NEW carbs . Outta the box . With the floats totally jacked . You really need to get into both carbs . Make sure the internals are good first . Then push forwards . Hollar if you need brother ! new

      No, I ended up removing the DQ and going back to single 4bl for now. Will use DQ setup if I go full on Commando 😎

    If the gas valve energised then the problem is with the gas side of your equipment. Ive watched all 3 of your videos and thats my long distance conclusion. Its not a proper flame failure as you never had any flame. Its more a failure to ignite which points to it being a gas issue... either none or at a very low pressure. If you continue to have proper ignition cycles it will likely keep working throughout the season. If you smell gas during the trial for ignition after the valve clicks open check for any obstruction to the orifice that feeds the burner closest to the ignitor.

      Thanks J! Yes in part 2 theres no "popping". I think it's because of the primary/rear carb was "new" to me and altho I rebuilt/gasket'd it, this was the 1st time it has ran in YEARS. Gonna dbl chk/take some readings to try and dial in timing. (No ping yet or starter kickback). No performance difference, I didnt expect one anyway lol. Thanks!👌

    . 😃Sounds awesome and started right up For 10:1 to 10.5:01 static compression small block mopar 273c.i. with stock 1.78" and 1.50" valve sizes try this cam = The 273c.i. needs LSA to be 110.5* and ICL of = 106.5* Duration should be 224* @ O.O50" lift. . What gearing does it have? torque converter? Headers? You definitely need headers so you don't burn up those valves. . You achieve 10:1 static compression with 47CC head chambers and 8CC piston. This was calculated with stock bore and stroke of 3.625" bore X 3.31" stroke. . Stock heads are listed as 57CC although often measure up 59-63CC with variance. . A good cam and pump gas requires hardened seats. . Is your engine a 'commando' or 'super commando'? Or 'power pak 273' with a 700cfm 4bbl carb? Or was/is it a cream colored 2bbl engine? . It is a 1967 so it probably has the good closed chamber heads, casting numbers # 2658920....? The open chamber heads are casting # 2843675 in 1968-1969. This engine is a great engine. It has all forged internals from the factory. Just the way they are supposed to be built.

    Put a vacuum gauge on there and then put a holly on there and adjust it and your problems will go away
