i cant see your settings but both of these sound like crap. and i own 5 Boogies- mk1s, 2 and 3 and they all sound better than this.

Strymon, Boss RE202, Catalinbread Echorecs and EP3 copies all missing something and CANNOT get that sound that a vintage Binson has! Now I love all gear including DIGITAL I mainly use an Axefx so I’m not hating on digital i love just as much as analog but the Binson does something special that can’t be replicated even the TREX version of it is closest so far but still missing that special thing that a Binson does

SG sounds awesome, I love the growl on those things. Buck Dharma was my favourite proponent of SGs.

Strymon gets close in terms of replicating the effect, but it's still far on the mere sound. The warmth of that analog machine simply is not in the strymon

Even with that middle section, it makes a great change to watch a video of someone playing this model like a bass instead of like a bass trying to be a guitar.

Start by dialing in your amp first. Sounds really twangy, too much spank! Your variations were marginal at best.

Yeah, not a fair comparison. It's the Mark I fully cranked, and the Cali Tweed just using pre-amp gain.

Beatiful binson you have there. Its in great shape and sounds awesome. The two sound alot closer than i expected, and based on that could definitely sound closer. Either both sound great and strymon has you well in that sound

Binson definitely, Volante sounds too thin tho possibly down to tweakings, was going to purchase a Volante but waiting to see and hear what the new Boonar is like.

I have the Cali Tweed and love it but that Mk 1 sounds fantastic as well. Can't go wrong with either one.
