Hey, I’m still using the stock marelli 4mv ecu. I didn’t go into swapping a bosch me 7.5.10, as I lost some interest about the car and didn’t want to spend more money on it. If I remember correctly you need some sensors changed to use the bosch ecu, MAP sensor and crankshaft position sensor maybe. I don’t remember if you need a different trigger wheel as well. What lift are your cams and which intake manifold are you using?

@@NachoBides running cat cams, specs 257°/253° - 208°/204° - 8.90mm/8.90mm - 0.50mm/0.90mm using ARC/AVY polo gti intake manifold and a custom catless 4-2-1 collector flow optimized. i can't write to Marelli, do you have a way to do that?

@@t.sb_0570 I don't tune the car myself. It was mapped by SPtunes here in Greece.

@@NachoBides i can't find anyone local in the netherlands able to write to marelli, they all say it's impossible and different than bosch/siemens etc. I can't go to greece unfortunately, any way i can contact SPtunes for some help?

Hello bro, they don't disclose information such as tools they use etc. What I can tell you is that the ecu was taken out of the car and put on the bench to get remapped. It couldn't be done through obd. You need someone who has done it before and has experience on this ecu.

@@NachoBides Hello, my friend Thank you for the answer I talked to SPtunes They told me that it is possible to connect to do TUNING to the Magnetti Marelli ECU that exists With us, through the OBD with the Kess original device I found someone in Israel who has the device and he was able to connect and did Tuning for me Thank you my friend :)

I used the stock spark plugs. Did you change the wiring when you installed the coils?

​@@NachoBidesYes, I now changed the wires as you said, but I also had to change spark plugs (I had non-ngk spark plugs and the coil wouldn't go in well, I put ngk spark plugs and it worked out) I wanted to say thank you very much for the help and for this video because it helped me a lot With my polo bby, the car now drives amazingly with these r8 coils, so thank you again, if you have more videos about polo bby upgrades, it will surely help me and other people, thanks again friend, you made me a happy person :)

I still have the marelli ecu. I would like to try a me7.5, but I heard that it’s not exactly plug and play. Some sensors are different as well as the throttle body. But that’s what I heard, I haven’t really looked into it.

@@NachoBides ahh i see, who mapped the magnetti marelli ecu? It seems like it can be done as there is a video of a Lupo 1.4 on here where they swapped to a bosch me7.5 ecu but it looked complicated

@@44ro.n SPtunes, it is based in Thessaloniki,Greece. I have seen the lupo you are talking about, i think they are using different throttle body. Of course it will not be very difficult, but it probably needs some searching. What are your lupo specs?

@@NachoBides mine is currently a standard BBY engine and i wanted to install a lupo gti inlet and renault throttle body however on a forum post someone said they did this and the ecu could not handle it so it ran too lean. I was wondering if the 1.6 injectors would help this but i’m not sure

@@44ro.n mine has an aub intake manifold and the renault 57mm tb. With the stock bby injectors it was running lean after 6k rpm, although I also have schrick cams and my block is 1.6. Now I'm using bbz injectors and it is fine till the 7k revlimit. Keep in mind that bbz injectors will not work very well on the stock bby tune. It will run rich in low rpm causing engine stalling during idle etc..

It's really okay considering the specs and age of the chipset. Very little lag. I mean my poco f1 was a lot worse in hot drops.

@@haliikoptor I don't recommend it due to the small sized screen. Try finding at least a 6s. Best choice is a 7 plus or 8 plus.

@@haliikoptor I have a 6s now. I uploaded some gameplay, you can check it. It has the same chipset with se 1st gen, but 4.7 screen and 750p resolution. But again I would suggest a 6s only if you are in a tight budget and just playing for fun. For competitive you need at least 7 plus or 8 plus.

Luís Matias 1.6 to get more torque and subsequently more power. I used the 1.6 cast iron block, even though I could have used the stock aluminium 1.4 bby with the 1.6 internals. No piston slap and bore wear on the 1.6. I haven’t gone on a dyno yet.

@@NachoBides Great job, which difference between 1.4 and 1.6 16v? Block height is the same? Only rods lenght and crankshaft are different? Does the aub head have larger canals than the bby?

@@NBA0893 Block height is the same but the 1.4 block is aluminium and the 1.6 is cast iron. 1.6 has different pistons with higher compression ratio, different rods and crankshaft. All 1.4 and 1.6 of this type have the exact same cylinder head casting. Only the cams are different between 1.4 75 and 1.4 100hp. The only head that is supposed to have better flow is from the early gti 6n 1.6 ajv code. This engine was euro 2 and had different exhaust ports for sure. Im not sure about the intake ports though.

Hey! The intake manifold I bought was basically composed of the stock aub runners and a custom plenum. The bolt pattern for the throttle body was the stock one for aub, so basically the biggest throttle body I have found so far is the 57mm vdo. I believe this is as big as you can go with stock bolt pattern as there seems to be no space for bigger diameter. Other than that the particular intake I got had some quality problems and decided not to use it. What 70mm throttle are you trying to use? Every vdo throttle body seems to have the same 6 pin layout, but the bolt pattern differs. Maybe if you could make a spacer its possible to use it one the stock manifold, but I'm not sure if you will benefit so much.

Φιλε μου ειναι γνωστο αυτο το λαμπακι και αναβει μονο στα βαγκ σε κανενα αλλο αυτοκινητο γιαυτο και ειναι πολυ προβληματικα και τωρα εγω το πουλαω το αυτοκινητο επειδη αναβει το λαμπακι για να παρω κατι που να μην αναβει το λαμπακι κι ας ειναι μπουρδελο ευχαριστω
