Chad Pennington is the one QB on this list that was legit. He was just always hurt. He earned his first round selection. Tee Martin was Peyton Manning’s successor and led the 1998 Vols to a win against Florida and a national title. Two things Peyton did not do. And Chris Redman was a solid QB that had a great career at Louisville. You can see why these three were taken over Brady. The other three? Not so much.

Also shoutouts to Tee Martin I didn't know about that with the coaching! Whenever I hear about players making that transition successfully to positional coaching but not make it as a pro, it lets you know that the team that drafted them in fact saw something that was there. Maybe he wasn't physically capable enough for the team to take him as a serious option at the time, or maybe he just couldn't perform well enough in practices (or stack those performances consistently). Given who was the HC at the time (Cowher) I'm going to imagine it was the latter. My family has made it to the pros and one of the family members got 3 games in a position battle in the preseason. One bad play was enough to shut his career down for good. Sometimes its just that cutthroat a business. Really glad to hear he got past that failure and ended up succeeding in the sport in his own way!

Chad was a good QB. I think once he got to Miami more fans appreciated him despite how much he struggled with those injuries limiting him. He's one of those guys we will always wonder how good he could've been with stacked healthy seasons. A lot of times you hear that but you don't see it. With Chad, you could see it. You just couldn't will him to stay healthy. The NFL was definitely less kind back then to QB's then now, a change that helped prolong players like Bradys career versus the norm established at the time.

GW exploded with Rodgers in 2023? Really? Rodgers played 1 snap and was out for the season. Even if Rodgers played that season his production was almost the same as his rookie year. If you mean his production exploded in 2024, that makes more sense but you skipped a year.
