How to Replace Jeep Cherokee Side View Mirror
If you're a dumbass like me and smashed your mirror on your garage like I did, this tutorial is for you!
You will need:
10mm socket
8mm socket
7mm socket
A fork
Modern cars are designed with lots of pieces that assemble and disassemble with fasteners that snap together. If you've never taken parts off your car apart before these fasteners might freak you out when they make a loud sound but don't worry
This works for models 2014-2018 and all trim levels. My particular part number was CH1320367 from Rockauto, I hope that's a useful starting point for you but it's your responsibility to ensure you have the right part number

Ripping Apart A Player Mechanism for No Good Reason
Переглядів 3213 місяці тому
I hope you're a fan of poor audio. Our piano has a player mechanism from the last millennium, and one evening I found myself in one of those compulsive lefty-loosey modes. I take it apart, I take it to my workbench, I frighten myself with a power supply. But most importantly I gain over 80 little solenoids I'm never going to use I'm not sure if this thing would have worked, but I'm unfortunatel...
Making a Locking Parallelogram Gate
Переглядів 2,8 тис.11 місяців тому
I have a wide doorway in my house and there's no room for a conventional swinging dog gate. The right gate for the job can fold down for use, and fold away for storage. Have a look at the process of making a unique parallelogram gate All the bars moving together is such a satisfying sight! Thank you to Matthias Wandel for inspiring me to make gates like these many years ago

Installing Conduit Makes Running CAT6 Cable... Easier
Переглядів 16 тис.Рік тому
While my house is being renovated, I installed conduit to run CAT6 cable up to my attic and garage. Eventually I'll install cameras that run power over ethernet (POE) to a central location under my stairs where I'll keep an NVR. Until then I'll just be here covered in sawdust and assorted filth
Sorting Nerds by Size, Losers Get Eaten

I bought all the nerds they had at my local grocery store and set about finding the biggest ones in the bunch. I 3D printed some hardware to do the sorting and screwed it onto my disc sander because it shakes more than it sands Check out this link if you want the files 3238978916525.gumroad.com/ just be aware you're going to get nerds everywhere I'm shoveling the losers into my mouth out of a t...
From Crud to Stud, Restoring the South Bend Heavy 10 Lathe
Переглядів 123 тис.2 роки тому
This lathe turned out beautiful and it's my new main lathe in the shop! I found a South Bend Heavy 10L from 1938 at a garage sale and dragged it home for cleanup and restoration. I live in the frozen hell-scape of the American Midwest so this was a lovely winter project. I show every step of the rebuild and goof around in the process so I hope it gives you a chuckle. If you want to see how I go...

Building a Compressed Air System with PEX & Testing it Until Failure
Переглядів 16 тис.2 роки тому
NOTHING you see here is sponsored by anyone, and every opinion is entirely my own. I show the process of building a compressed air system in my woodshop using PEX pipe. PEX is usually used for water lines in residential plumbing but it works well for air too. In the second act, I have some fun pressure testing the PEX until it fails I haven't been using the system it long enough to give product...

Basically the Opposite of a Router Table
Переглядів 9472 роки тому
I made an interesting router setup to flatten the bottom of a volume I'm making Volumes are a staple of indoor rock climbing gyms, and by far my favorite thing to set routes on Normally I cut angles on each piece before I install them to make them lie flat. A little bit of extra work at the end relieved me of needing to bother with that. I think I like it this way

Loved your video lets save these machines ❤❤
Does this work for the Cherokee Trailhawk also?
As an installer I'm always suggest in new construction sites install 2.5 inch pipes from the attic to basement minimun and stop on each cool air returns This way avoid future holes but most builders and owners cutting costs and then later on they don't realize how much cost to fishing new wires. Lastly prewiring a house always add extra value for new buyers.
Are you sure this works on driver side 2016
What a fucking gem of a video this is. Thank you!
Theres a better belt u glue together No more tick
I was looking for a home CAT6 run tutorial and landed here somehow. you’re hilarious dude, gladly subscribed 😂
обжимной инструмент всегда можно взять на один день на прокат в ближашем магазине
Protip: if you are going to put electronic equipment such as servers, NVRs, routers, etc. under your stairs, you should be aware that stairs have a lot of cracks and seams which water can get through very fast. if someone for example puts a mop bucket on the landing, and that mop bucket were to be accidentally knocked down the stairs, you will not have a good time. let my pain be a lesson to you!
Well done,
lol. Finally a video that truly represents actual projects, DIY and not.
Subscribed!! You have my sense of humor, hatred of flat heads, you drink my drink and you have one of my machines. I myself rescued a 1942 southbend 10inch just last year. Mine was also used in WW2, and somewhere in the 50s is was used in a high-school shop class before getting shoved in the back of a boiler house to be forgotten about when the ended the shop program at the school in the 90s. So it and a few other pieces of equipment sat in this boiler house for 30ish years while most of the other pieces got scraped. I saved everything in that room that was salvageable. I'm so glad I did. I got the 42 lathe, two 14"delta saws, a delta combo sander, a 1940 something drill press and a 1950s shear.
Finally, home improvement the way our father's and their father's before them did it. With swearing and Jerry-rigging.
Best, simple auto how to i have seen! Only the necessary parts, no talking. Done and done. Thank you!
Good video mirror broke the other day am have been looking for a proper video thanks!
Thanks for the lead screw cleaning tip! Will use it soon when repairing my milling machine.
Dude, if this is legit I’m gonna cry. Also, if it is, thank you. 😂
It's the real deal friend, good luck keeping more money in your pocket!
Hey man, I didn't need to watch the whole way but I'm glad I did.
Best video out there about this
Had a good laugh, I should hire you to help me building / modifying my house, with a few beers etc.
does Ole Spidy have 6 legs pointing forward!?!?!? Actually looks to big for a Brown recluse....
Great Job… Me venden este torno, south bend model A 31/2 … sería mi primer torno. Me lo recomendas?
This is BY FAR my favorite home improvement video of all time. Thank you for making me feel normal.
Got in my son's 2019 the other day. Insanely loose. WTH?
This might just be better than This Old Tony. I can't believe how small this channel is! Time to binge your whole catalog.
That is quite high praise! I hope you enjoy the others as well
thank you very much... i am not handy at all and thought of bringing the vehicle to the shop... for what? you have me covered... thank you again!!!
You're very welcome! Handy or not, if you have access to the information there's nothing you can't do!
The different size of nut and bolt is so someone with one wrench set can still service the machine, you dont need two of the same wrench
Well done Dr. Frankenstein, well done.
Why didn't you just sell this one to someone who wanted the player piano mechanism, and then purchase a (theoretically) less expensive one without a player mechanism? You would have saved hours of time and maybe even turned a profit.
When buying this piano the pricing was reflective of the player mechanism being non-functional, and the second hand market for 27 year old mechanisms is non-existent
I was trying to contain my laughter, especially when you brought up Home Depot.
Hands down one of the best videos I've ever seen. I was searching for some mild machining video as background noise to fall asleep to and ended up wide awake and engaged. Nice.
Thank you so much! I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed
The rolled up dollar bill at 4:33 was a nice touch.
Glad you caught that!
New subscriber here. Edutainment at its finest!

Quick, clear , and to the point. Fantastic video!
3:31 the "Ole reach around" move! 😆
😂this was to funny. Thanks for sharing
Look at the length and width of the slideways on the carriage and tailstock. Then compare with the cheap Chinese lathes.
Thank you
Came for the lathe, subscribed for the humour.
Thank you kindly, I'm glad you enjoyed
Good job. Where did you get your quick connect to PEX?
Thank you, those are fittings that adapt from PEX to NPT I chose on the spot at home depot
You need to get yourself a shopsmith my man. Or i guess maybe you don't now. Maybe I just want you to have one

I keep wondering why im not hearing the super fast matt music.
Between the nails going in, the xylophone, and the music that felt a lot like an early Taika Waititi piece. I come out of it just in time to start the bandsaw casino heist. I just found you and loaded up my play list.
Thank you! I take that comparison as high praise, good motivation to keep it up
ok, for the last year i have searched for automatic dust collection only came up with maybe three videos. now that im on my work computer , this video came up. What the heckkkkk. this is a good one. im only 3 minutes in and already love where this is going.... fast forward, i just went to the site and $50 for the stl file seems a bit steep.... sorry brotha but i may have to think about this one.
so i just finished watching the whole video and i have to say, aside from the blast gate price. the rest are reasonably priced for how thought out they are. well done. great video
We have the Southbend 10L with cabinet bottom. It was nice to see a younger person that liked older great machines
What oil are you using in the little dropper bottle. Squeeze bottle.
I had my blower+cyclone set up exactly the same way you set up yours. The air is moving too fast for the cyclone to do its job. My solution was two fold: First, add a section of 4in tubing bent at 90 degrees to slow down the air (this means reorienting the blower 90 degrees). Second, let my filter get clogged up enough that it again slows down the air (which is obviously a lot more temporary).
A few months after posting this video I moved the unit, removed the filters, and ported the exhaust out of a window and since then it's worked much better. Higher velocity in my system is always welcome for better efficacy at the point of use, and my cyclone never seems to suffer
Classic adhd self narration. lol. Relatable.
You should hear the stuff I edit out!
