When I was a kid, my closest friend's father was Ava's business manager. Ava was fond of my teenage friend and invited him several times to go to London and he stayed a week or so with her at her apartment. He said she met every day with her friend/neighbor Charles Gray (James Bond/Rocky Horror), and they drank champagne. My friend said Ava called it "shampoo". I got to quickly meet her and her sister at a few Hollywood type parties around 1975/1977.

Ava Gardner is the most beautiful actress I’ve ever seen on screen I was not born during her time my mom tell me stories about Hollywood golden age watch her on turner classic movie for the first time I was mesmerized by her beauty then I start following her I even bought her autobiography AVA read about her. I wish one day I can visit her museum

Excellent documentary, telling her story well. A beautiful lady who came a long way from Grabtown, North Carolina. Her generosity is heartwarming, her belief in social & racial equality inspiring ( she would sit in the black section of movie theaters, etc in her younger days in the U.S. South) Glad she didn't stay married to that stupid Mickey Rooney, cheating on a lovely lady like her is disgusting!

she must have regretted moving to spain, including her bullfighter affair as well as giving-up acting....

i wonder if frank jr attended this event because he felt sorry for ava because lee sever and peter evans books that come out.... at those books ava dont shows much appreciation for her time with sinatra to say the least.... she was malignated when he met ava in 1960s because her lifestyle in spain not because his father....
