maybe that car developed some problems & the driver is new/not familiar enough with it & is trying to figure out how to handle it to the extent momentarily forgetting the traffic behind..finally wakes up realises is holding up traffic thus signalling left to get out of the way ?!? newer cars can be somewhat different to operate if the driver's only familiar with cars from 15 to 20 years ago i observe !
