GoodWinch and TeamTwin Lock are at it again! Slightly closer to home this time - at the First Round of the Odyssey Winch Challenge. Sam is hungry for a result, but the night before we hit a few snags. That combined with the nest hunting, it was a very relaxed day out! Yes, Its the 6 speed gearbox and M57 out of a 530d , it's amazing. I love it, Check out CWR engineering on instagram, he did the conversion for me.
My build is a 330d and 6hp gearbox :) cant wait to try it out!!

Took us a bit of time to get that camp setup sorted. The kids loved it. We’ll go back to Morocco for sure. Not sure when.

Hey, I missed this WBVC report from our almost neighbors in the paddock (blue Gwagen in Challenge). Good to see Buzet "blue valleys" from the Extreme class cockpit (and outside). Hugs to Sam, Wil an Allen !! See you maybe in 2023.

@@edwardhart3501 it displays warnings, that one is to warn of an overheat and displays 'slow down'. Altough if you wanted it to say 'please eat a pickled egg and carry on' you could lrogram that instead of the 'slow down' text 😂

@@matthewdillon6542 nope! seems like a decent trade off between speed and power. Our truck is quite heavy so faffing with double line pulls on super fast gearing isnt worth it

Do competitors modify the winches in any way, such as modifying the gearing so they spool up faster? I've seen some events where it appears some of the winches seem PTO-driven.

Fantastic edit. Really good footage. Good info. Looks like a super fun event. Loads of seat time. We do rock crawling here in Australia. Not enough time driving in our events. One thing I'd like to see you change is the time your text is up on the screen. I can't read fast enough to get it all before it's on to more fantastic footage. Couple more seconds of reading time for us dyslexic muppets please. PS, was good to see your goat 🐐 out and about. Cheers Dane

@@TeamTwinLock Have to admit, we don't really have the sort of peat bog style you have, and where we do, you can't drive on it.
@@TeamTwinLock I should also have noted that our winch challenges don't require tagging like in yours, where you have to get close to the marker to score points. That just makes it way more challenging. I just loved the innovation shown to get to the markers so you could punch the card.
So what do you guys do? Is it hard tracks against the clock kinda thing?
@@TeamTwinLock Yes, they are time trials on much shorter tracks. I guess the difference is also that spectators get a good view of what happens in each section.
I use to use a gopro chest mount when I co-drove. that way you can record or take pics. top work guys. awesome review of the event.
