I am a competitive Solforge Fusion and KeyForge player, commentator, and content creator. My videos are generally geared to players above a novice level who have some understanding about the games, but either want to get better at them, or just want to watch some fun matches.
I post videos from tournaments and events that I've attended and/or commentated on, and other informative content (much more to come). I am also working on a secret SFF project that I'll eventually post videos on when I have completed it. :)

Sealed Adaptive - The Truest Test of Skill in SolForge Fusion
Переглядів 126Рік тому
In this video, I will introduce and talk about a new format for SFF: Sealed Adaptive. I view this as the most pure format of SFF, which maintains (and enhances) the beauty of SFF as an unique-deck game, but also introduces new challenges for players and maximizes the effect that skill has on the outcome. Future videos will show examples of this format being played, and talk about how you can em...

NewForged Challenge vs Andrew from StoneBlade - March 2023
Great video! Watched the whole thing!🎉
Thank you! This series is helping me a lot.
I like this card :)
I think the bidding should cause a lower (negative) life threshold rather than alter the 50 life. I say this because it could be that in later iterations of this game, there could be cards that may if you have X amount of life do this. It would be much easier to keep track of that number rather than the EV value. Can't argue against the format you suggested though, I love sealed either way! This one is probably more fair for experienced players like you said. Maybe I'll try to run one of these on 5th Cycle whenever I get some time this summer.
This looks like a great idea. I think you'll need to get some online tournaments going to build a body of feedback/reviews/evidence of it's viability
Thanks for recording and sharing your matches!
Id' go for the Basher, since I consider Level 1 Shambler not such a super big impact, while the Basher would grow stronger, even without the Shambler.
Thank you for your commentary and the kind words! It was a great match and I was thrown off by entirely by the aggressive start you had which was very different from the first game. Some thoughts: Yes it was a calculated gamble on that forge seal that gave me options for bad, decent(what happened), and good. I felt I had to try to make adjustment since even though I was up on health I felt off my game. You were a very gracious opponent when I requested to take back the Dysian Syphon as I dropped it and realized I couldn't use it as I had thought. I agree I should get better versed and play more of when actions get started to keep towards them. I would have understood if you had said no at that point. In Cycle 3 I think where I used the Broodfang/Dreadmaw combo is something I have to thank you for your help with as well. This was something I was aware my deck was capable of but you had helped me with this to be more cognizant of just during our conversations between rounds earlier in the day. Your insight and ability to see the game is awesome and I'm glad you were able to get this content out to everyone :) I hope to be able to meet up with you again at future events!
That's just a beast of a deck. It feels like the Mantis / Forge Seal decision is the core of playing it though even the Level III Forgeborn ability has clear use (life gain that doesn't require a card play in cycle 3 then play free stuff, particularly spells). I suppose it might even be possible in certain circumstances to level one of Mantis / Forge Seal cycle 1 even without an 'ideal' number of spells played to get the potential of cycle 2 lifegain via the levelled card for free stuff and two triggers of Darkforge Drain by the unlevelled Mantis/ Forge Seal plus your native cycle 2 Forgeborn ability. It also feels like the green/purple combo is just a little more forgiving on draw ordering than silver/purple, which requires your to retain certain board states at key moments to get the combination plays to trigger. Perhaps another interesting aspect of BfWP is that Darkforge Drain becomes somewhat depowered by having spells sit around on the board as Exalts rather than being directly banished on play.
Thanks for sharing - Appreciate hearing the thought process.
Thanks for grinding out all the math! Several of these probabilities were quite a bit lower than I would have guessed (would not have guessed the chance of drawing any 3 given cards in your opening hand was so low low myself). As well as highlighting the cruel efficiency of this particular combo, it also helped me to wrap my head around the overall chances involved of drawing specific cards or groups of cards during in this game... 👍👍🙏
I will say that I agree that there was likely a skill gap in the beginning of the game, and I had a headstart on people because I'd played the original SolForge game pretty much every day for four years. While the games aren't the same, they are close enough that I had a lot reps in on a similar system and understood how a the key mechanisms (lanes, choices for playing that are connected to leveling) worked.
Parkaboy here. For reference, I used Steel Rosetta. And this deck has continued to perform very well for me in the time since. What this deck is all about is board control with mage synergy. It's got seven mages, with both the Firefist and the Allomancer able to help clear the board, especially with the help of pyre song, Demolish (on Korok but triggered with Steel Rosetta's Inspire), Staff, and Augmentation.
That’s for sharing these videos. It’s really helpful to see the same deck in action across multiple games along with your commentary. I’m curious to find out what you realised about the deck or your own gameplay style, while watching back over the videos.
I appreciate the explanations of lines of play and the different decisions
Surprised you discounted upgrading the tinker completely on last turn. The only out I can think of is that you play the nanoswarm, put both mega gizmos in center lane, and hope he drops chrogias, in front of the 6/6 gizmo, and destroys the Skeleton to pump Chrogias (which would be a misplay on his part, so I don't think he'd play it there). You can then upgrade steadfast tinker and place it in front of the Chrogias to block 15, and kill both minions to push through enough to over kill him -3 to -2. No other way to push enough damage, and relies on misplay. But possible.
GG It was fun to see it from your perspective! (& it's "Ra-zhee-da-hay" fwiw ...or just "Raj" ;)
You couldn't have Dreadbolted the Wartusk. Herald of Fury only lets you play a level 1 card, so it must've been a level 1 Dreadbolt, which couldn't of hit the Wartusk. You played it correctly :)
Just realized I actually went over the board and grabbed your darkheart and moved it myself. Must have been tired, I try not to touch other people's cards. Anyway, thanks for the game!
No worries at all, I didn't even notice it. I sleeve my decks when playing so never mind if someone picks up a card to look at it or correct board state. :)
Wow! What an amazing round!
FWIW, you played the Ator correctly (around 20:00min mark). If you had played Ator first, you would have had to replace the Fireheart Idol before it went off. Playing the Runic Pit first allowed you to trigger the Fireheart Idol, which is a much better tradeoff than an extra 2 damage from the Darkheart Sorcerer.
37:00 Also the 8/6 couldn't be killed with the Dreadbolt, it was level 2. Give yourself more credit :)
Is the super tournament 2 final going to be uploaded at some point? I’m dying to see the final games.

Wow this was a fun one to watch. Super entertaining!!!
I should've kept dark minion in hand on that last dis turn of game 3. But the play where Jason disabled my fandagle almost got him the match because otherwise I would have discarded the den! Very wp! Thanks KiP for another very fun and stressful tournament! :)
Very well played and an impressive victory! Congrats!
Wow! That last game was scary...
Agreed. GenKA really feels like playing a different game!
"Assault is a thing". Love that moment. That was a heads up play for sure.
At 22:46 the opps in game 3 is probably because they could have played drecker next to old bruno effectively giving drecker elusive if grant wanted to take advantage of dreckers downside
I love KeyForge and I love my MTG cube, so boom you got my attention :) Now let's make this a thing... I'm a programmer, I might work on something that can be ported to The Crucible.

wow no pip in canada for my boy Ugluk
Lol the graphic was made a couple weeks ago. We have retroactively decided he is the ghost. 👻
I should clarify that the reason I was considering Faygin was that he, in my cube, comes with two urchins as paired side cards. Standing alone with no automatic urchins, the conversation makes much less sense (because a single Faygin is a 3 power creature with an irrelevant reap ability, so rather bad). Apologies for forgetting to mention that in this video.
Thank you KIP, this was a fantastic tournament.
what a dramatic game 1
Thanks guys for commentating. Nice to look back at this game. While Wookiee was on the team with Drsheep and me, I am Ewok_jr or JR.
Absolutely right. My sincere apologies for the confusion as to your identity during the game; I saw Wookie casting a game of yours earlier in the tournament and thought that he might be playing under a different screen name then normal. Totally my fault.
@@JusticeBlinded No worries at all. Thanks for running a great tournament and for all your hard work to make it happen.
Definitely some interesting plays, but a fun match to watch! Way to go Ewok_jr!
FYI game 1 Grump Buggy was in hand, well played control of the weak
great content !!!
Cool video , see you next week hopefully 😉
26:45 discards chain gang not to give a target for a dodger steal. 1 Dodger could've killed Odoac & the other would be able to then fight Chain Gang and steal. Awesome playes this game by both.
ooof, I wouldn't like to be a part of this game on either side, wp both! Give me 'standard cota nonsense' everytime.
"standard cota nonsense" well on its way to becoming a catchphrase :) Love your commentary.
Fascinating :) That deck is a monster. Imagine what that deck would be if it pulled shadows with tmtp from that archives ;P
This is my first time to use Transposition Sandals ever~ Thx for the Commentary
I was stuck between edai, phalanx strike, and snag. I like taking the board control, but as the game goes longer snag gets worse as the deck becomes mono house. I was concerned about going to time so I hit his stall. All 3 very good options though!
Erich you archive the ragnarok because of all the barbs and gongoozles
Ah, that's fair.
andy was not able to fight @5:20 'cause of foggify.
Ah, fair. Sometimes I miss those things when I'm helping with tournament administration while casting/recording. Thanks.
31:22 You are probably right, the better line is probably (1) Pompitus fights Mother damaging both, (2) Legionary and 1st Raptor reap, (3) Scutum on 2nd Raptor, (4) Tribute the 2nd Raptor, exatling, (5) 2nd Raptor fights and kills Pit Demon, get 2 dmg, exalts to ready 1st Raptor who fights Vinda exalts an readies 2nd Raptor who fights and kills Vinda, gets at 4 dmg, exalts and readies Pompitus who fights Mother, thus destroying Mother, Pompitus and 2nd Raptor, (6) Play Spiral.
Great game. Love the AoA deck going to the finals. It's a fun deck too.
nice content! thanks for the tournament kip. Lost to the winning deck rd 1- great deck
Great commentary, I love how the god hand reveal function allows for even more in depth analysis. Too bad the last game wasn't played out. Was looking really interesting. Here are the decks decksofkeyforge.com/decks/6326d1dc-4626-4668-831f-36991aa0312d decksofkeyforge.com/decks/3305a78f-bb87-412d-a3ac-7bb2f9f6320d
Watching the match now. I said "I know it's game over" because i took a very bad turn just to kill the Dusk Witch, I can't leave the witch alive on that side, because if the shadows guys come into play ready it would be impossible for me to win.
