I dont get it, people are scared of the Fried Liver, so stop playing Nf6 so fast, Bc5 or e7 and you wont have this problem, i see no advantage to play Nf6 before.

My Italian opening looks very much like that, including c3 to stop the knight jumping in and h3 to discourage pinning the f3 knight, but that's where the resemblance ends... I hate the forced white bishop trade for all the reasons you mentioned, so in Game #1 black taking with the rook was the mistake that allowed white to outpost the knight on that fantastic square f5. In Game #2 before resigning, as black I would at least have tried qa2 attacking the rook? Thank you for opening my eyes to all the potential of what can often be a very cramped game.

1:58 Ba4? Thats a mistake in polerio defence. Does not look like you know the teory here but still a nice game rewiew. I understand its not advisable to enter the fried liver as black to people who dont study the lines there realy well. But i used to play fried liver as white. Now i stopped playing it as white and sometimes i have played it as black. I even played it over the board in classic game and i won that game. In freid liver white gives up a knight for a pawn and a exposed black king. And even the computer jumps forth and back in the lines. White realy has to know how to attack here if black knows about to handle it. Very risky i know. Easy for black to do a mistake. But it was realy funny to beat that guy. He took on f7 in the speed of a blitz game already showing he was thinking that he was already winning. Then few moves later showing that he did nkt know the variations that deep and that it was not that 3asy. Many players going for the fried liver are banking on the early mistakes. I started playing the lolli attack instead. I think the lolli is better. Delaying sacrificing the knight to a better moment.

Sorry but what you say about the french defense is not accurate at all. As a french player, I'm very glad that you will tranpose the Jobava into a french. In the french defense, Rubinstein variation, every french player know that Nbd7 is the correct move (even Bd7 of the fort knox variation is ok). You did not even mention the french winawer and just mention a bad version of the Steinitz french where everyone know that d6 is a square to be carefull of with the knight.

Very interesting. I'm a die hard KID player and someone tried this 2. Bf4 line against me today. Instead, I held my ground and played ...d6 anyway because I simply never play ...d5 after 1. d4 Nf6. But then, before I had a chance to castle, white set up a trap for me with e5?! Turns out that if I take the pawn on e5 and misplay the position white might be able to fork me with Nc7 and maybe even mate with Rd8#. However, I spent a lot of time and found ...Nh5 (after e5) forcing Be2. Ultimately, I came out of the opening up a full pawn and traded down to a completely winning endgame. I finished the game with 97% accuracy according to stockfish 16. After the game the opponent confessed that he was shocked I found all the solutions in the game. Apparently, lots of people fall for these type of cheap tricks but people forget than in otb classical games we have a lot of time to sniff through the nonsense. Anyway, it was a good try by him and now I'm going to learn everything about this Bf4 idea and continue crushing opponents.

Nc6 is bad because it blocks your queen and gets it kind of stuck, as mentioned in the video. Nc4 is the best move at a low depth, but there are plenty of moves that have similar evals. Main takeaway is understanding why one move is bad, then you can infer. I'll keep your feedback in mind though.
