    How much did you get paid for this review? Interesting that all video reviews rate this so highly, but the truth about this device and app is in all the real customer reviews. This is a dreadful device. It freezes overnight constantly and doesn't reconnect automatically, it destroys your phone battery and sometimes it just can't be bothered to work until you restart your phone for some reason.

    Sock is made to alert of drops in O2, baby's O2 drops and alerts parents, parents stop using bc alerts are annoying/unsettling 😂

    An over simplified explanation is the oxygen sensor reads by shining light through the skin and looking at the colour. There are caveats to this, but just like everything, its an indicator. I measure my heart for af, use a stethoscopes to double check. This is all good and well assuming you dont become obsessive about it. I used an oxygen sensor / heart rate monitor long term to establish a baseline for myself and only when there was a notable change id take further steps. This is where you went wrong, you became obsessed with it. Heart rates go up, go down, sensor moves gets poor contact. Readings change.. its all normal. Establish a normal baseline first

    We use it for about 3 weeks with camera from owlet. Yes sometimes when the sock isn't fit right, it can false trigger the alarm but if it sits correctly, we haven't seen any problems with that. From fully charged to the zero we haven't had any false alarms that means almost 16 hours. We use it not to monitor the oxygen level only but to be sure that child is not suffocating because of the turning around during the sleep, we can't watch at him 24/7, so the sock is just additional measure in worst case scenario.

    I am writing as the video plays but i am writing this on every video about this. A. Plain and simple camera is complete ass. B. I have finished my analysis of the accuracy of the sock. My wife is a nurse and I am about to be an EMT we take our newborns vitals in contrast with the owlet. The accuracy is meh on heart rhythm but the O2 sats is waaaaaaay off it drops to 88 then up to 100 if we were not a medical family we would be rushing to and from the hospital. You can still use this (as it is still a great tool for lack of a better alternative) but allow for a decent amount of scans before rushing to conclusions. IF! The baby is cyonotic (blue) at anytime around the lips GO TO THE HOSPITAL OR CALL EMS!!!

    5 to 10 seconds is not a significant lag. The notifications you described happens when the sock is fitted improperly. Its possible you did not put it on right. Its completely normal for rates to drop and increase with movement.

    I love mine. Yes it’s weird to set up but once up and running it’s so helpful. I have piece of mind that there is one extra layer of protection and I’d rather deal with the 2 alarms I’ve had in order to be able to sleep at night. It also monitors his sleep patterns. I love this and I have found it is accurate. I then know if my baby has had a lot of sleep, broken sleep, not enough and should need extra sleep time in the day. To me it’s worth every cent.

    You should take this video down. You have no where near enough experience or sample size to make this kind of statement. If even one child dies because their parents saw your video and decided against trying it, thats one too many.

      This device has been a great peace of mind for me since my brother died of SIDS. I entirely agree with this comment. These people although expressing their own opinion to which to do indeed have the right to do so just actually might end up causing legitimate deaths of babies of someone doesn’t take this video with a grain of salt.

      An honest opinion or review of a device should be trashed because even that he tells the truth about the device it may lead others away because it could possibly save a life at some chance? How about give a review that will force the creators to do better and make something that can save more.

    I'm considering one of these for a 32week prem baby and I'm tempted to try it He's currently under 5lb and sinuses are quite blocked up so he has noisy breathing, but when they clear a little and his breathing goes quite i'm lying there awake listening any movement. My current thinking is a few false alerts are better than that. Quick tip for people worried about things like this, don't use coloured or tinted lights on the baby room, they'll stop you from seeing the babie's true colour. Along with WiFi and bad traces i was also wondering if people had issues with the socks needing to be replaced. We needed to use hospital sats monitors at home 24/7 for our 1st born (0.7kg and lots of health issues), the probes/sensors needed to be changed quite often say every few days so we worry about the life span of the sensor. For our 2nd we didn't need anything like this. On higher spec machines with a larger screen there is a trace line and you can generally see from they it's is a bad trace but the ultimate test is the babies colour, if it's a real problem you can tell. We have the advantage of knowing about traces issues from past experience but that won't stop me from jumping up in they night if the thing beeps, then regardless of what the O2 reading is I'll need to put a lights on to check their colour. With our first when he was in a different room if we got a false alert we had the camera setup so we could see if he was wriggling around. The next technical leap with this tech is to join it up to the motion sensors and alerts based on the 2 things combined.

      @@melindapupos8668 no I'm not crazy. We didn't put him in a separate room and at no point does my comment mention a separate room. Are you crazy thinking a 700g baby would even be allowed out of hospital? That's 1.5lbs

    The app is fantastic and the feature is great. However the camera breaks just after a year. Customer service kinda blamed me for misuse and since its out of warranty so they asks me to buy a new one or send mine to repair for an even higher cost lol. So unless you have the money to buy a new one every year, try another brand. In comparison, my outdoor security camera is 3 years old and it is still working fine. 1/4 of the cost of Cubo Ai lol.

    Hi! I'm a carrying consultant in the UK - can I offer you some friendly advice please? Have a look at the instructions about TICKS. My main concern from what I can see on this video is that Summer has her chin on her chest, which is extremely unsafe and can be cause for babies suffocating. I'd suggest waiting until she is 6-8 weeks old before using this carrier for any period of time, whilst manufacturers put 'from birth' this is rarely the case. To improve the fit try lifting the waistband higher, off of your hips and onto your waist (yes, we all have hips and a waist it's just above your belly button, you are not the first man I've talked to about this, including my husband!) As baby gets older having the carrier higher will also be kinder on your back, as babies get heavier and being this low down on your torso it'll pull your shoulders more and more forward. I hope you take this in the spirit intended and hope you enjoy your babywearing journey!

    • @Dad_things
      @Dad_things Рік тому

      Thanks Tracey for your advice! I agree, for new borns in any carriers, parents must be extremely careful. They can barely hold up their own head! I'd wait until they have grown to a comfortable size for what ever carrier you use. I would never put my baby in a dangerous position or in any situation which would cause her harm, the purpose of the video was to show viewers this carrier and what it's like for a little baby. This was my first time opening and using the carrier and I have adjusted it since, and made sure we have the best set up for myself and her!
