Baby Bison Orphan.wmv
Переглядів 144 тис.12 років тому
A orphaned baby bison that was called in by some friends up in West Yellowstone, Montana. No clue where the mother is, if she is even still alive. One can only hope though. Edit: It turned out that the mother had been pushed by helicopters across a large bay of water. We only found that herd a few weeks after this orphan found a new mom. He was safe. The government separated this infant from it...

    Thank God you rescued this baby bison. More and likely it would have fallen prey to a predator. It is so apparent this beautiful baby was in shock in a world its mother was not there to nurture and protect it.

    don't care what the cause is , if one see a baby orphan, get it help and return to wild after its able to care for its self or give it a mom to her herd. never let a baby die, not its fault.

    The people who would murder these animals because of getting help from people who can actually make certain that they can find another mother to nurse them, are the very ones who should be put to death. Do any of you that have made comments about letting nature take it's course ever seen these babies rejected by their mothers and the herds???? STOP ASSUMING A DAMN THING!!!!! Unless the arrogant people who actually witness first hand animal babies being rejected by their herds because of people helping them, do me and others a favor, and shut the hell up!!!! There is no justifiable reason for them to murder the animals at all, except for the fact that they are barbarians!!!!!!

      This bison was separated due to government helicopters who try to push the herds away from farmlands right outside the park. If you call them, they will euthanize it, so we found it a new mother not knowing where his ended up. Nature didn't separate this baby from its mother, humans did. So thank you. I wish more people were passionate about it

    Its very sad to see that he is without his mother and how desperate he needs her milk and protection. If it wasn't helped, then nature would have taken it course as upsetting as that is. Nobody likes to see an innocent life taken. I wonder if there had been made a phone call to some organization if it could have been saved. 💔🍁

    • @danaeXOXO
      @danaeXOXO 6 років тому

      Kamilia Alfonso we did. But we had to make sure the mother wasn't around. If she smells the scent of a human on the baby, she would abandon it. Sometimes you just have to watch. And if we were caught interfering, we could have been arrested. Sometimes you just have to wait. The mother died because the DOA was herding them with a helicopter into a river.

    How anyone can watch such a scene and think 'this is just nature so I will only observe and not interfere' is beyond me. Surely if we are going to take the stance of not interfering in the course of nature then we must also take this approach to habitat loss of these animals, right? Or is it more that we are just going to NOT interfere IN NATURE within the shrinking confines of their natural habitats? .... Ooops sorry wild animals, we urgently needed to claim land you previously roamed freely to build a big f&#king ugly mall with a massive car park! This whole not interfering stance is no longer valid. It's bullshit! We steal their habitats for our selfish needs, we owe them! (And I'm from Australia so I know a bit about lands being stolen)

    • @danaeXOXO

      Matthew Young , this baby was helped. It is why the BFC in yellowstone monitors them so closely. But we can't help them if govt agents are around. Humans will be arrested and the baby shot. The herd the animals with no care and do so when the mom's are giving birth. This baby did find another nursing mother to take her but we had to wait for someone to help because if this baby smelled like a human, no mother would adopt it. And that was a stretch. This newborn was only about a week old.

      Danae Martin Hi Danae! Thanks for the info :) I certainly didn't mean to make it sound like you did noting about it, for sure you did all you could. My gripe is the sometimes silly laws that would arrest you for helping or even sillier people who comment 'leave it die its nature'.

    • @143freespeechnobuts5
      @143freespeechnobuts5 6 років тому

      Matthew Young. The reason why you shouldn't interfere is because of the fact that the mother will reject the baby. Which is what happened in this case. The people were fined for doing so. This baby was in a set aside habitat to preserve these animals but people like you couldn't resist the need to interfere. You are part of the problem not the solution. Leave nature alone.

      They put the baby in their car and the mother rejected the baby. The people responsible were fined $110 dollars by park officials. Sometimes mothers have to leave their newborns alone so they can eat. People don't need to intervene because it can mean life or death for the baby. The Rangers did the right thing by fining these people.
