The presence of Vanessa II taps into one of my favorite storytelling tropes - hiding plot points behind the viewer’s suspension of disbelief. Be honest, when you first encountered the Wasp King, did it ever cross your mind that wasp hives in the real world are ruled by a Queen? Even if it did, you probably dismissed it on the grounds of this _not_ being the real world, what with wasps having four limbs and carrying spears or halves of a functioning drill. So it takes you by surprise all the same when Jayde reveals as much, and again when she verifies the King to be a usurper.

9:13 The Beast would’ve done a 99-damage bite to Vi if she was still standing. It’s actually a bit more cinematic the way you let it play out. At 9:19, I like to imagine something a _little_ different. Instead of miraculously surviving that instant-KO chomp, Kabbu prevents it by using both hands to pry the Beast’s jaws off his body. He goes through that whole oration as the jaws push harder and closer, then finishes by dislodging a tooth with his horn, making the Beast recoil in pain. That’s why it bites more tenderly from then on. (No secret with the Berserker Badge. I just thought it would’ve cinematic in its own right.)

Fun fact: being "too close to the ground" for a wavedash is a lie. The part that actually matters is the timing between dash and jump, height is just a nice way of visualising that. So if you ever keep not getting your dash back, just delay the jump a little. You can even wavedash* starting on the ground if you do that! (* technically that'd be an _extended hyper_ , not a wavedash but its basically the same thing)

Some things to say: 1) Those red levels are just speed trials, you don’t* need to do then 2) The reason I put an * there is because theres 2 hidden levels unlocked by doing speed trials of specific worlds. 1 is unlocked through completing the speed trials of the first 6 worlds, the second is unlocked by doing the speed trials of the 2 worlds made in collaboration with muse dash. Hope this helps!

Wow. Kudos for defeating the Devourer. It's widely considered the most frustrating Bounty Boss... despite having less health than the other four. As for the Mother Chomper... maybe come back after Chapter 5, with at least one "Rank Up" put towards TP.
