A bygone era is what you could say this is - that was what I grew up with, and although I regard the station to be at least fifty times better than it was before right after receiving its accessibility upgrade, I cannot help but to feel a bit nostalgic about how it used to look as a little boy compared to when I enter my 20s as of now. Oh gosh, that *ordinary* staircase really played with my emotions as a little child. 😅😂 (even when I matured more as a teenager, I still was preferring to cross the train tracks at the level crossing) Thank goodness as well that they kept the original stationmaster building which previously sold the tickets, I definitely would had considered a shame to see it go, although I really would just like to seeing it actually being used for something rather than just sitting there more like a piece of artwork rather than anything else - but yes, I do know that that building is heritage listed.

So it appears that the stockyards generate the only goods traffic on the line and it looks like that is hardly ever. Still what exists today is a vast improvement from when PB15 steam engines ran the passenger service to the terminus at Beenleigh in 1965.

MuST SEE TRAINS

The alignment between Eden's Landing and Holmview today is not the original path of the railway as it meandered closer to the Logan River with quite a few sharp curves. It was re-aligned for the opening of electrification to the original Beenleigh Station in 1985 or 1986.

There was also Nyanda station at the Beaudesert Road level crossing and the platform is still there today.
