👍🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much! This really helps me a lot. At first I was confused but now I understand it. Thank you. 😊
Awesome! I’m so glad it helped!
You’ve solved the problem that I’ve always had when someone gives me change lol thank you so much for the clarification. That was excellent.
Yay! I’m glad it was helpful
Keep going I like listening to you your mathematics your explanation are stunning I really appreciate that
I’m so glad!
Thanks keep going
You, too! 😊
Great but the problem is more of: It cost $15.10 and they give you $20.00 and say 40 cents to make a whole - that is the biggest problem.
Just separate Change and dollars. Which there’s no reason for them to give you 40 cents, but, count from 10 to 40 cents- that gives them 30 cents back. Then count from 15 to 20= 5 dollars
I don’t understand, if there are 10 artists and three prizes, each of the ten people have a chance to win one of the three prizes. If each person has a chance to win, first, second, or third prize, then doesn’t that mean that there are only 30 different ways for them to be awarded?
You have ten entrants who could potentially win First Prize. Hence, 10 Permutations. There are now NINE entrants who could potentially win Second Prize. Hence, 9 Permutations *times* the 10 Permutations for First Prize, for 90 Permutations total. There are now EIGHT entrants who could potentially win Third Prize. Hence, 8 Permutations *times* the 90 Permutations for First and Second Prize, for 720 Permutations total.
This might help :) ua-cam.com/video/SrGrBWfyPTI/v-deo.html
Thanks I am so glad that you are still continue you are so genius and your explanation is super ❤🎉
Aww thank you! I’m glad they are helping you 😊
@MomDoesMath that was the least thing I could do you are really talent
Thanks keep going 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 You helped so much
lol you’re very welcome! Thanks for watching!
I am so happy that people are learning this again. I'm 62 yo and we were required to count back when I cashiered, and it was quite a shock when they quit doing it.
Yes, I’m the same age and we grew up having change counted back to us so we just learned from that. A lot of employers in the retail field are making this a part of their interview process now
@@MomDoesMath Lovely to hear ... I hate it when I'm handed a couple of bills and then have a bunch of loose change plopped down on top of it - counting back puts the change on your skin where it doesn't slip. Maybe Cursive Writing will be the next comeback 🙂
I'm teaching my 10 yr old and 5 year old how to count money. Is unfortunate I wasn't taught this at school
I’m 18 and planning on getting my first job and this was my biggest fear of working at a cash register
Thank you for the help!! appreciate your efforts(:
You’re very welcome! I’m glad it was helpful!
Inga needs to find something better to do with her time
😂
Why does it become square?
i want to appreciate you for helping me after getting my first job the person who trains me told me to do this and i didnt know how to count money after he explained himself about 10 times & l also asked my dad in which i ened up crying because i didnt getting it,but thanks to you i finnaly understood it! senior from HS 🫶
This is saving me
In 1986 I was 16 and got a summer job at Burger King. I was scolded for not knowing how to count change. They simply don't teach PRACTICAL life skills in school.
this is 6th grade math 😭
It’s a review problem for GED so it covers everything from 4th-12th grade
oh ok
The main thing I remember from taking the GED is to ALWAYS skip to the actual question, only read the top part if the question references it. 99% of the time it's just a big dump of "information" that is 100% irrelevant and just serves to confuse you and waste your time, like in this question.
Excellent tip! Thank you!
She’s gunna spend $10 cause who would by 6 if they’re 4 for 5?
Common sense for the win😂
Makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Probably why I failed math. Twice. I'm sure you are doing a great job. Anytime I have to use the alphabet to do math, I'm at a loss.
Lol, I was horrible at math until one day a teacher explained it just right and everything clicked. Now I’m on a mission to help everyone understand 😂
I wish it was simpler I want to pass so bad
You can do it! Just don’t give up!💕
Keep up the good work! I like ur channel
Thanks!☺️
144 no look ignorace random guess the video isnt over
Nooooo missed
😂
Seems like there might be multiple right ways to find the answer. Which means you could try to go down a wrong one for awhile. You kinda have to guess the correct operation. What if it was multiply each number by 3 and you started by trying to add or subtract. I guess its like a puzzle problem.
Yes, there’s a lot of different patterns that will work for most sequences. It’s just a matter of which one you notice first.
I don't think that it's appropriate to make the correct answer not actually be _visible_ on the graph. Having said that, you demonstrated well how to quickly discern which points should _not_ be on the line. You also demonstrated well why (8, -5) _is_ on the line despite it not being visible. Good job.
lol, yes, I don’t think the test creators play fair sometimes.
Helpin me get ready for school returning
I just thought it was the number+1 added to itself instead of the way you did it 😂
lol it’s just patterns. There are multiple ways. I always tend to overthink these 😂
63 easy
Good job!
Excellent!
I appreciate what you do. I just wanted to tell you that. Keep up the good work!
Awww, thank you so much! Math gets a lot of hate 😂 so I really appreciate your comment!
@@MomDoesMath You're welcome.
I needed only 3 seconds to calculate that its 63 :D
Nice job!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
😊
watching this as a 16 year old bc you forgot and you told your employer you knew how to break change bc it was too embarrassing to say no
Well, there’s no need for you to be embarrassed! No one was born knowing this and it’s easy to get rusty if you don’t do it every day. You are being responsible! Good job!
@@MomDoesMath that comment has made my day and made me feel better thank you so much!
The question should be phrased "what is the average temperature at noon" so as not to be ambiguous. Noon is one of the hottest hours of the day, so that average definitely won't be the same as the average temperature during those days, but the same as average temperature at that time (noon)
I guess we just have to deal with the question as we got it 🤷🏼♀️
I was a cashier at a fast food place when I was 19 and a girl that was training me taught me this. She was about my age at the time too! It’s very simple!
That’s awesome! It seems like everybody just wants to make fun of people that don’t know how, instead of just teaching them how.🤷🏼♀️
Bro I got that instantly. its just 2^1 -1, 2^2 -1, 2^3 -1. 2^4 -1, etc... And I'm 12!
Your not tuff bud this is elementary stuff
This is very very helpful thank you !
You’re very welcome! I’m glad it’s helping🙂

If AB and DC are not parallel, then the shape is not a true trapezoid. Therefore, the formula used for the area of a trapezoid should not be used.
AB and DC are parallel. AD and BC are not
@@MomDoesMath You are right, sorry about that, I must have misread the small text.
There's a problem, though: The numbers given can't describe an actual trapezoid. Drop a perpendicular from D to AB, intersecting at E. This forms a right triangle with hypotenuse of length 3 and one leg with length 2.5. That means the length from A to E is √(3² - 2.5²) = √2.75. Drop another perpendicular from C to AB, intersecting at F. This is another right triangle with hypotenuse 3.6 and leg 2.5. This means the length from B to F is √(3.6² - 2.5²) = √6.71. Thus, the remaining distance from E to F is 6 - √2.75 - √6.71. Therefore, the area of the trapezoid is given by the area of the triangles ADE and BCF and the rectangle CDEF: ½ × 2.5 × √2.75 + ½ × 2.5 × √6.71 + 2.5 × (6 - √2.75 - √6.71) And that's only 9.67. But the area of a trapezoid with bases A and B and height H is, indeed, H × (A + B) / 2 which would be 2.5 × (2 + 6) / 2 = 10. So if the distance between AB and CD truly is 2.5, then at least one of the lengths of AD and BC are incorrect. The trapezoid as given is impossible.
You get a calculater we get our brain😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
lol, you’re allowed to use a calculator on this part
Thanks you helped so much 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You’re very welcome!
Move on your channel is great 🎉🎉🎉🎉
C
Yes😊good job!
Long division would be way faster. You only need the first number
Yeah, I thought so too. A lot of my GED students have forgotten how to do long division, so I sturggled for way around🙃
5.5~6 start with 2 boards are about a foot 2×22=44 48 IS A LITTLE LARGER THAN 44 ANSWER IS C 15 SECONDS TOPS
Common sense wins every time😊
This was confusing
I just did the difference between every number and 81, basically -3 5 1 1 added it and then subtracted that from the average, 81-4 didn't need a calculator or a big number just logic
@@NightstarReaper Nice take! Thanks for helping!
